    • RE: Axis&Allies Express: EAST AFRICA

      Rules are done, just working on profiles. and then change it to a Open office Document as opposed to keynote.
      Considering enlarging map to include all of lake Victoria and even into Rwanda (maybe).
      Either way, this will hopefully be done this weekend. PM me if you would like to be on a play test list. (Cannot guarantee anything)

      @Sun_Tzu:

      I’ll take midway, New Guinea and Coral

      My final claim is New Guinea, Norway, Aleutians, and Anglo-Iraq sorry to push you out but you misunderstood me about New guinea. I still wanted it.

      @Pvt.Ryan:

      Sorry to post way to much but Croesus do you have the rules to East out yet? I can wait to try it out. Also I think for this Hundred Regiments game i will make it to where you need to complete objectives. The Japanese must kill 2/3 of the Chinese for or must operate so many touch and burn operations. The chinese must destroy railroads and capture victory cities. They might also have to destroy the coal mine. The game will be won on victory points. The rules will be similar to D-Day but with no time limit (i hate time limits). Each army will have special abilities. The communist forces can recruit conscripts from cities and villages (only once per town) they can disappear into the wilderness like subs and they can move 2 spaces. The Japanese can use railways for movement and in general get a bigger force. While the chinese have regulars, conscripts, artillery and maybe some tanks, the japanese get infantry, atillery, tanks, and fighters, and maybe bombers.

      Getting Close, I’ll post something sometime next week

      @Croesus:

      I was thinking that for games with similar rules we should  put rulebooks together. So instead of 14 rulebooks we have 4 Saves on space and harder to lose stuff

      Sounds good I have the start of my rulebook posted on my forum how is yours coming?

      It’s coming.

      @Sun_Tzu:

      Hey Spartan, did you ever think about making an Iwo Jima, Okinawa, or Singapore battle maps? That could have some potential…

      Singapore is taken:http://www.fieldmarshalgames.com/field-marshal-games-accesories/worldsforge-field-command/field-command-singapore-1942.html

      Map 1.3 (Final?)
      Spartan, I think we may be the only ones who care, but I really like these mini games. They’re fun to design and I kinda want to try Norway next. They’re both good for training, low-attention span friends, and travel
      I could train my friends to play A&A like this
      Basic Combat: East Africa
      Economics: Winter War?
      Naval/Air Combat: Greece
      Adv. Combat(Put it all together): Norway

      Useful map

      If you look at my map, Funnily enough it seems to have all of these borders. Coincidence? Nope :-). But thanks anyway

      You may have seen Spartan_Soldier’s thread about Greece. I’m working on a similar A&A Express game-About East Africa. Any historical information on Military is appreciated, as wikipedia gives very little location detail

      Does anyone know where to get detailed information on the campaign? Wikipedia only takes me so far.

      @CWO:

      Nice map and good luck with the project!  I’d suggest putting the capital names in yellow rather than red so they’ll show up better against the colour of their background.

      The presence of French Somaliland opens up the interesting possibility of putting some French units there for potential participation in the fighting.

      Well, My idea is partially to use this as a trainer game, so the teacher plays the French, a minor role, and the other two are being taught.
      KNP: Yes, Yes but Somalia is to be further divided

      Axis & Allies Express: EAST AFRICA
      There were talks of making an Axis and Allies Travel-Friendly Game, and that forum became mostly about Axis & Allies Express: Greece, so I present to you my preliminary VERY rough map of the same Idea with the East African Campaign

      Note: This game was started today, and is still a work in progress, only the map is started
