      @Imperious:

      I didn’t say i had these idea first, i just made them public first.

      :roll:

      @Imperious:

      I just don’t want somebody saying i took these ideas, when i had them first. I care about that.

      @Imperious:

      Funny how these rules are so much like my game. I am posting this only for prosperity so nobody can say who had the idea first.

      @Imperious:

      I am only protecting the fact that or when somebody says in our game: “did you get this idea from Larry?” i want to be sure who had this idea first so its not me looking like I just got this from Larry.  Our game is original.

      Protip: When you can’t keep track of what you say, it’s probably a good idea to say a lot less.

      LOL - EPIC

      HOW EMBARRASSING!

      There is NEVER a need to EVER be this annoying

    • RE: More News! Russia!

      @Flashman:

      OK, here’s a version based on Diplomacy. So far, the map in essence IS Diplomacy, with minor tweaks.

      I’ve yet to deal with the Atlantic SZs, but this is substantially what I expect given the obviously heavy Diplomacy influence, and of course minus southern Africa.

      Bulgaria might be in fact a German satrapy, can’t quite tell.

      The Turkish tank trek to Tartarstan is definitely on!

      That looks pretty darn good! I’m sure he meant Sevastopol adjacency by sea. If he left it empty, and Ottomans had 1 transport, then his statement makes sense.
      Even if that IS the case, it makes sense to me to have a frontier there that matters, so Russia wants to defend it a lot

    • Italy

      The largest problem  I see with this game is that the entrance of countries makes and breaks the war.
      Italy’s historical swing could doom France or grant it salvation. The timing of revolution, bulgarians, and Ottomen can decide a war in a heartbeat.

      However, Italy must be allowed to swing.
      How might this be represented, without immediately deciding the war?
      I’m okay with anachronisms, but I feel Italy’s swing is too important to be predetermined.

      also, if this thread becomes the fourth duel between IL and extraneous users who want special rules, I will cry.
      This Thread is about ITALY, not the russian revolution, Vorbeck, Flashman, IL, or anyone else.

    • RE: Minor Powers in A&A 1914

      @Yavid:

      I’m thinking the minor powers are pro-axis or pro-allied neutrals.

      By which you mean Pro-central or pro-allied neutrals

    • RE: Unit Lineup speculation/wish list

      @Imperious:

      Can’t say too much, but you will be shocked how great it will be. And it will be.

      Are you referring to another game using the A&A map or something you are publishing? Your entire posting is highly ominous.

      On the side, WWI is very interesting because all sides are equally evil. I always  feel a little horrible celebrating a WWII axis win. Maybe that’s just me…

    • RE: Unit Lineup speculation/wish list

      If that’s the plan, then notably, Everyone has a revolution to fight:
      Marxists in Russia
      Armenians in the Ottoman Empire
      Conflicting decisions in the buyout of Italy (those who wanted to be central)
      IRA in Britain
      German revolutionaries/ Poles in Germany
      Black Hand in Austria-Hungary
      Pancho Villa in USA
      Zaians in French Morocco (weak I know, but I wanted something to fight)

      A cohabitation rule would allow the Russian evolution to send Moscow and other territories into a toss-up zone.

      I suspect there is a rule like Brazil/Szechuan count as zero until the US is at war, behind the 15-17 thing, as they were unaffiliated before hand

    • RE: Imperialism 1885-A&A Global variant setup?

      I agree with that, but is it enough?

      Side note-To make the game more exciting, I plan on using mainly 1885, with minor changes such as accelerating the Japanese to 1910, when they were touting an strong and growing empire.

    • Imperialism 1885-A&A Global variant setup?

      I, being fascinated by the age of Imperialism am working on a variant setup for the 1940 boards (IPC will be adjusted) that allows the Colonial Empires of the world to fight it out to make their empire the finest.

      Empires of this time period who were considered were:

      Asian: Japan, Ottoman, Russian
      European: UK, France, Belgium, Dutch, Austrian, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese
      America: USA

      China was ignored and I will decide control based on the spheres of influence.

      This was far too many to have any game, and also, The Spanish player would be severely bummed. So my plan now is to combine some down to preferably 7-8 players, I immediately combined Belgium and the the Netherlands

      AS A NOTE: I very much want weak and strong powers, for the sake of wheeling and dealing, alliance and betrtayal, etc.
                        I also want Japan and the Benelux to keep their sovereignty

      To do list:
      Combine Nations
      Revalue Territories
      Design Unit Changes
      Devise Setup
      Test

      All help appreciated
