@crockett36 a good experiment for you would be to do the math that it would take the allies to catch up to the Japanese Navy and aircraft. How many rounds of full production in the PTO would it take to catch up to the Japanese?

@crockett36 after that consider the reality of offensive warfare you can’t count your carriers for attackers and then to be even more realistic. Imagine Japan tries to keep up with the arms race.

Hey, another idea if you’re looking for fresh ideas to play around with is sea zone seven which I have called my friend has called the magnificent seven as a place to park every available American ship give the Japanese go to season 3635 or 33. Another possibility is filling the ocean with destroyers from Anzac and UKP and the United States destroyers in order to block their movements, this in combination with magnus seven keeping the Russians in a more moving the Indian troops in the Burma perhaps even Russian fast movers makes for a very bad day for Japan.

@gamerman01 Not a shock to me. I think Andrew has moved OOB Overton window in the right direction. One of the best players on this site told me he loves playing the Allies but can never get a large enough bid.

Btw, Stucifer and I are giving Andrew’s set up a whirl. Good stuff. Enough reinforcements at the outset to slow the Axis down and enough of a cash injection to be a shock to the system.

Just playing around with this 9 years later, but I came here. Perhaps someone else will.
Additionally, this is the tournament version. There are very high level players who know this version backwards and forwards. I am a fresh recruit. I make observations so that they might be corrected. Let’s go!

There is one power that is wildly different in this version and that is Russia. Certainly, UKP and Anzac are nerfed AND the Russians in the east are fewer in number. However, Russia is a beast. If Russia presses for Berlin with no consideration for the victory conditions, the Allies are in trouble. It will stop the economic victory but will likely lose to the Pacific victory city strategy.

Simple solution: the Russians need to support India. I’m in turn 3 and have just purchased 10 infantry and a plane. I landed most in the Caucasus. 5 aircraft for Calcutta. I built a British factory in Cairo and two Brit bombers in South Africa. I will continue to build aircraft for the Russians and Brits to send to India until it is stabilized. Meanwhile I am in an arms race with Japan. I plan to go high in the Pac to pull resources away from India.

@crockett36 blocked the battleship! added to the defense of the channel significantly. One can easily scramble. Stiffened 111. Took out 96. And killed a German plane.

42 should be league, imo.

I’m going to do a youtube video on some of these complaints. I have voiced them in the past, these criticisms. There are very effective in game solutions that are rarely used. Fixes that are in the LH canon, though not in the regular g40 rules.
