By the way meant to reply to this. Would love to play a real game of global once we’ve got some practise in. My man cave in the loft might be a good option for this as it contains my 8 ft by 4 ft gaming table and crucially could be left setup for a long period so we could play a game over several sessions…. still quite a way from Hereford though…

Ok I’m Italy. After a long hard think I will scramble both fighters into sea zone 97.

After about a seconds thought the submarine in SZ109 will submerge (actually after checking the rules quickly to make sure that won’t affect convoy ops).

Good luck - my sister will not be pleased as the Brits clearly don’t like Italians (she’s married to a Sicilian!).

Is it me or is it much harder to use all your units on TripleA compared to on a real board? Anyways…

When you say the channel I presume you mean SZ109 so more Irish Sea/Bristol Channel as there is nothing to attack in the channel itself?

I’ve scrambled the fighters accordingly.

Next question how do we deal with selecting casualties? I’m resolving the France battle and have scored 7 hits in the first attack round (the AA guns missed). Presume you would go for the AA gun followed by the 6 infantry but what’s the usual protocol on this?

In answer to Wittmann’s question I am in Stockport, which whilst not ideal is less than an hour away from the Wirral outside rush-hour down the good old M56.

I’m just about to become a Dad myself which I’m sure will severely limit social activity, but 1 day every month or so to play hopefully will still be achievable.

At the moment I can get my real life friends and family to play A&A 1941 fairly regularly, but I’m struggling to get anyone to sign up to games on the bigger sets….
