As far as I know, that is true unless an enemy destroyer is present. then subs can be hit by air and lose first strike and submerge abilities.

I would like to propose that the use of the battle calculator is not allowed in tournaments. If I were to play a game of chess against another person, it would not be fair for me to simply enter the game into a computer and ask for the best move. After all, isn’t this supposed to be person vs person, not person vs person + computer?
What does everyone else think?

Yes, as long as no destroyer is present, submarines may submerge before any round of combat and are removed from the battle.

Darn it, life happened. Going camping this weekend and will be back late Sunday. I like the Allies and it seems that there should be a way for the triple income to overcome the map advantage. However, it does seem that the Axis can play some risky moves early and not really be punished if they go wrong.
I don’t really know how to play either side. No game that I’ve ever played has gone past 3 rounds.
