Exactly the point…everybody quit…the tournament was way too long- a great tourny- just too long.  Players lose for endurance reasons not so much on gameplay.

Didn’t we start with 32 teams with so many teams and players falling off like flies b/c of time commitments???  So sad.
For those that stuck it out…congrats…you just ran a marathon. :-)

I will play an econ strategy next time, if we play again, so things are less crazy.

If the Burma Road is open and Manchuria, Kiangsu & Kwangtung are under Allied control, Chinese units may enter non-Russian Pacific territories (can help clean Japan out of SE Asia and Korea). They are permitted to deploy one transport on the board at a time limited at SZ 20 and it can only move to SZ 36 (let 'em liberate Formosa & Hainan on their own).

I consider AA50 to be old.  I am not sure why we making comparisons to two older boards, revised and aa50.

I am talking about global, 1942, and 1941. Have you seen the allies in those boards? They are boring.

i think sealion is fun and should be part of the game

i feel that any bids should go to either russia or usa, or else they will affect the intent of the game too much

i’d hate to see bids forcing players into specific “best and only best” strategy

I play every weekend on the table top when we get bored with the latest Alpha we’ll change it up and do any one of the different versions,  original OOB from the first release to Oztea’s 41 set up, theres also games like fortress America….or the old classic. I dont think I’ll ever get bored with the games.

man been awhile since I played some lobby games of global. I am getting bad, but I can still beat most players.

That fact that the people I play with never let me play Allies… Ill base this on my last game, a new guy, first time playing and he decides to pick the Soviets, I decide to let my other friend, play Germany to have some fun, it was the 2nd turn when he DESTROYED Caucasus, and G4 was when Moscow fell to the Germans, we whipped Russia out in under an hour. This probably only works with new guys  :-P
