      USA bombers are the easiest counter to all Europe cheese strategies. 1) cannon fodder factor 2)  can attack tanks produced in ukraine or karelia or ground units that might sneak past russia for income, 1 bomber bombing minor ics is effective as well.

      There you go. Yeah you can laugh at 6-10 bombers as cannon fodder, yet behind those bombers will be a bunch of fighters from uk and russia.  imagine killing 3 fighters, easy peezy, now 6 bomber and 3 fighter, not so easy now is it?

      cheese strats are surprisingly easy to counter. USA can reinforce Russia with bombers if Japan doesn’t feel like expanding to its usual 70 ipc self.  EAST USA to SCOTLAND to Russia DONE. Russia safe.

      The only spot I defend is Berlin if I am doing an all in on Russia. Usually this is a g6 or bust type of thing.

      No, Russia is important to take quickly. WG is trash, Berlin produces 10 units, more than enough, italy gets it back for you, bam 3 more, france is 3 more. How many units you need after Moscow is taken? You can use Karelia etc for air to support ground you make on berlin to take back west europe if it gets reclaimed. This is easy to do because you are fighting on your turf (and in order for the allies to shuffle 10+ units a round they need at least 10 transports if they are shuffling to spain, 15 if they are dropping in.  UK can’t produce middle east while dump trucking on europe at the same time (maybe 40 ipc tops of units)

      So yeah you can take it back after.

      minor ics on kwanguntung,  FIC, malaya are usually enough.

      I don’t always buy naval bases and airbases, in fact I been buying them less and less usually 1 or the other… hardly ever get both, I used to get them both when I was newer.

      Check it out. if you take and hold shan state, from india 3 carriers parked there or 1 space away, 6 air + 6 more air from FIC or whatever for 12 air total (6 lan dcarrier 6 land shan state) Boom shakala, no need airbase!  Naval base is only good if you plan to use it next round to boom shakalaka india, usually that is a j3 attack on india.

      Japan does get ukpacific by round 3 or 4 barring some crazy dice scenarios.  China can’t leave China so if all fails with Japan, at least take out UK pacific because UK pacific is the 2nd russia and you want to win on the Europe half at least.

      I dont have problems taking India as Japan unless some serious bad dice hit me. If USA isn’t buying units for the pacific, yeah you can fly german bombers to Asia to act as a can opener….  this is usually not necessary because you can just take the island that is above hawaii… it has an airbase to boot with it.
