Instead of saving, just buy 2 infantry, 1 for london 1 for scotland. Bam you buying that anyway for london, except you have the added advantage of being able to scramble round 1 knowing  you can place 10 units.

Only Ethiopia if you placed a bid. It can go awry and you will be sad where as not attacking it has never made me sad.

The rise of kjf strategies is what most likely made carrier buys less frequent. Because Germany doesn’t end up using or needing it.

OK. One of the older meta strategy was a later japan dow. G1 you buy carrier 2x transport or dd sub. Next up you take gibraltar, because usa is not at war and it is cake.  Then germany goes in to the medit sea and has middle east play.

I like the bomber buy g1. You could still do the old naval g1 buys… I am not a fan but whatever works for you. I don’t like carrier buys for germany

I like to scramble as UK if Germany doesn’t send the bship to sz 110. Fighters hit fighters, usually 3 figs end up hitting 4 fighters or more.

Rule of thumb for every tank have 1 mech inf to go with it. Here is why, cannon fodder factor. exception is buy only tank from karelia. You want karelia first then Ukraine.

You take Egypt with a pave low (ALL your air vs UK ground) then italy waltz in right after.

Lately for my J1 Dow I been keeping 2 figs on Japan only and 3 or 4 naval units.

So far better because more air to attack round 2 with. Bships and carriers have to move down because it makes j3 India easier if they do Burma stack.

You can position carriers below Burma to slam India with 14 air without an airbase buy. Good stuff

3. The purpose of the 2 bomber 1 sub buy is for flexibility. You have 1 fighter 1 tactical in southern italy g1 so G2 you have 6 units that can immediately attack small stacks in the middle east or uk’s air or naval etc. You can knock this out or use bombers for any round 2 attacks or setup for a G3 to attack with your air against  uk’s ground to clear a path for italy to take egypt / middle east.

4. I typically do a J1 dow, the round 1 yunnan attack is done because japan is good at attacking, not so good at defending. Any situation where you get to attack with overwhelming force is a good situation for Japan.

Always buy transports j1! Why? There is no opportunity to buy them later usually. Usually Japan sz is not something you can defend while attacking cash money islands. Get them now. Also 6 man power is stronger than 2 bomber. Also there is no way to predict a burma stack by enemy… also yeah like I said 6 power is better!

You do not need to buy an airbase as Japan! Naval base is fine. 3 carrier = 12 planes attack and 2 bomber (6 from carrier move 2 to hit india then 2 to land shan state while other planes move 3 to land to hit india and land on carrier)!!!

Whenever there is a burma stack, it is a money saver for Japan, because Japan just need to slam that and doesn’t need an airbase! Just make sure to move carriers non combat below burma.

I am going to assume that your opponent is doing a J2 and not a J1 (otherwise you wouldn’t have the bship).

In both cases the answer is, yes Japan can wreck your stuff and take India on J3. The best part about it, is he doesn’t need an airbase and just a naval base to do so.

Non combat he moves carriers where your bship cruiser is and BAM SLAM he can get 12 air on india with 2 bombers and 6 transport to drop. This is so much better than having to buy an airbase.

I did not look at your map. I assume yunnan was attacked on J1 and other standardized moves.
