      Taking india is cakewalk broski. UK takedowns are 70-100% in low luck games.~

      I can’t see how global is better than AA50 or the NWO mod WaW. ~

      Why on earth do you like the VCs? most groups I go to play without VCs. Hell I even support that. Berlin or Moscow or we play another game.

      How many people really enjoy pacific? It’s so lackluster. Naval cost lots of money and once one side is sunk that’s it. there’s no coming back. Not to mention attacking is rough, there’s no retreating because you can’t repair, so you’re all in no matter what. It’s so stupid.

      Even in aa50, I never go pacific and I usually win. So now I am supposed to go pacific to deal with the japs or he gets 6/8??? Screw that. That’s stupid.

      I would like to add that low luck favors the axis hardcore just like in AA50 but even more so.

      I am sorry if you did not buy the limited edition 50th anniversary edition, but you really missed out. It’s a plateau that is hard to go down.

      
      Hard to test this game out without many live games. Eventually this will be available for triple A. Hopefully yall have the balance figured out by then.

      For balance we need to solve victory condition issue first like combine it and figure out what the magic number is.

      Then as far as entry into the campaign… Russia should be able to go before America. In fact America’s entry being around the same time as russia is pretty silly. I am thinking bump America’s entry to the war to Round 4 and just give india more stuff

      I don’t see how anyone can have problems with Japan. Most of the time I screw around or I go hyper aggressive and round 3 india, round 5-7 china is done. with asia out of the picture I make as much as america.

      The problem with balance is which way is USA designed to go? In every other axis and allies game USA goes europe. There’s no pacific.  Now usa has to go pacific or axis wins as soon as they hit 6/8.

      USA vs Japan is about an even match. they both end up making the same. That’s why I don’t have a problem with usa making absurd amounts of cash. just means japan has to dominate asia that much quicker.

      Anyway like the above users said. Germany takes down uk in a LL game. Japan screams ALL I DO IS WIN WIN WIN WIN NO MATTER WHAT and the allies go cry in a corner wondering why they are playing this game

      AA50 and revised (if you play v4 you’re not a man) usually had capitol battles at around 6-8 for germany or moscow. Sometimes 9-11 if the russian player is a puss or if allies are doing really bad… like usa goes pacific and in that case just russia dies and axis win.

      This map is smaller than big world and WaW… but considerably bigger than AA50 in certain aspects. I think it should be geared around round 9-11.

      I am still working on my own version with victory conditions as russia or usa for axis and germany or japan for allies. It’s hard to setup because there so many countries now and stuff blocking japan from taking russia unlike all the other maps.

      game blows. I can’t just race to berlin because it fuckin takes too long and japan will get all his damn NOs on pacific. It’s pretty #$%#% stupid.

      Every damn axis and allies game comes down to moscow and berlin, with the exception of a few KJF scenarios.

      That’s why this game is so hard to balance.Can’t just accept victory on one half and defeat on the other :| it is so silly.

      I did round 3 india with japan in my last game. since kamikaze can go anytime less worry about usa. so i just went balls deep. :) was a pretty fast game.

      here are my thoughts. uk and india need like an inf and another fighter. give germany a bonus for holding the french territories. schiffler plan or whatever you want to call it.

      kick japan off with an IC on manchuria. it was after all japan’s puppet state. Either that or korea.

      Also R5 uk takedowns are possible. if you buy bombers round 2 and industrial bomb R3-4. You pretty much shut him down. bomb the guy for 20. he can make 5-7 inf? kinda a big difference.

      I’d just play with axis bid and no attacking uk till R5+ to include industrial bombing.

      Either way I shuffle guys from europe to a territory near uk on R2 and R3. then finish him R4.

      there is nothing uk can do. period. Max out the complex on inf try to hold with a fighter, but there is just so much air I sent and tanks and inf  i’d have to miss an entire round and he’d have to hit an entire round before we’re even.

      He can attack my drop on R2 and R3. oh sure. and whatever he sends R2 I kill R3. Whatever he sends to attack it R3 won’t be defending UK. so he’ll try to hit it for 1 round and retreat… sometimes that goes bad LOL sometimes that goes good and you still get wooped.

      you guys are just very bad.

      Like the harder question is: how can you not be able to take UK??? In a LL game or dice? You send pretty much overwhelming odds.

      Sealion doesn’t constitute a win. I concur. However I believe it is the optimal strategy for axis. However it does make the game really boring.

      I rather just give axis a bid under the condition that they cannot take over uk.

      Pretty much 15 axis. No attacking UK until after UK has taken his 4th turn (basically you have to do it R5 if at all).

      Well either way. uk can only make 9-10 inf r1.  germany round 2 buys more transports and dumps what he has on to a spot near uk. G3 is boom boom if you got the forces or wait a round just shuffle a bunch of guys over and G4 it is done.

      There is nothing uk can do. period.

      i just take uk round 3 or R4 with Sealion.

      not taking down uk is like really bad for germany. the game is based on germany gettng uk.

      Shuffle guys R2 to a spot near uk. Shuffle guys R3 to same spot. Hit UK R4 with overwhelming odds. UK done.

      AA50 is still better than global. dang sucks we’re still at alpha+2. I just don’t like this map because it lacks action.

      Mechanized infantry shouldn’t require tank escort IMO. Also multiplayer isn’t very fun whoever gets usa may as well write down his buys and go off for a couple hours to get groceries then come back. LOL.

      Can we speed this game up? Is that too hard? I don’t mind a bigger map, but I do want to roll some dice at least.

      Also having axis or allies win when they get so many vcs on one side of the map is what is bogging this game down.

      Since the first A&A game was made, most games have been a race. Get russia before germany falls and vice versa. After that it is clear who will eventually win… sometimes you both russia and germany fall in the same round and you got to play it out for a bit more. uk usa vs japan.

      There are different schools of how to play Japan.

      I go with an india first strat and it just so happens china is along the way. some people like AZNAC. Others are money focused. Sometimes I kill russians for fun because taking their land on my side of the board adds up to +5 a round at least.

      Just depends. I don’t know how I win games with Japan. Everytime I play allies winning is so easy.

      USA effectively gets +31. albeit split on two sides. Japan and Germany can potentially make a bit more money. Especially with those two ICs to make haste and the mechanized infantry rule changes (which in practice usually benefits Japan).

      The race is on! More action less turtling.

      May have to minus one of the added ICs to japan.

      I already do this strategy and I usually win games but I lose sometimes too.

      If we’re playing without NOs yeah it’s a pretty even game slightly favors the allies.

      Play with NOs yeah the allies need 1d6+3 to start with. Just got to hold on to Caucasus and Moscow till usa takes balkans (bam russia +10 ipc) .

      in revised the strategy sucked because of AA guns, but now it’s pretty legit because the figs go where they like.

      The best part is after you get your stuff in position they can sink some naval with LRA.

      with national objectives on the german territories are just worth too much to spare some men. without it I’d spare some guys easily no problem.

      Although I got to be honest. I sacrifice moscow to japan so I can take berlin . I always go all out.  I know in end game uk / usa > Japan.

      I won games with my strategy.

      Japan going for USA? That can get irritating but I don’t see it. America makes alot and can churn out more men. You always have to eyeball hollywood.

      I mean uk from the north soviets from the east and America from the underbelly. use the uk bomber for egypt as neccesary.

      It’s a really balanced game.

      I know people complain about KJF not being a totally kickass strategy.  Whatever.

      If you play without NOs it’s not so bad. uk can shuffle men to africa to stop the italians from going nuts off their money. and well you’re pretty much bankin on shutting down japan before germany takes moscow. Also you kind of need to shutdown italy with uk…

      The idea is you shutdown italy and japan and fight germany. I mean you probably won’t take Italy ever with just UK. usa probably won’t take over japan but you should be able to take the islands but taking japan over is kind of harder then taking his money.
