I know everyone likes global as I also do.  If you had to pick one though to play.  Would it be pacific 1940 or Europe 1940 and why? In my opinion I like pacific 1940.  I guess I like those big naval battles. 😜

I still feel though the 30 pic rule balances the game more though.  Japan has so many planes at its disposal.  I guess it can go anyway.  Before the rule came out Japan was winning almost every game.  Not its closer at least but the allies I think have a small edge.  I feel like if Japan attacks on turn three, it’s there best chance to win. What do you think? 😜

Great comments from both of you guys.  After playing a few more games, I think Queensland is the safer bet early on in the war also.  It allows the allies to build up and hopefully unite all three fleets UK, Anzac, and USA.  Japan has to really come out to attack you and if they do the USA can counter with units from Hawaii and Anzac from Sydney.    I feel like the Caroline’s islands are more when the allies are winning the war, but it also holds a great strategic position.  So if I had to pick one, I now say Queensland.  👍

I feel like the tide is slowly turning in the allies favor.  Most of my games have been pretty close, but here the allies are winning more games lately with the new 30IPC rule.

When I first started playing Pacific SE, Japan would always win.  After trying out new strategies, I have come to relize that the Caroline islands is huge for the Americans for victory.  I never thought of taking it much in my previous games because it had no IPC value.  But man, the navy base there pays huge dividends in the long run.  You can harass Japan, Korea  and most of the DEI.  Ever since I have taken the Caroline islands I have been victorious wth the allies.  It also splits the Japanese navy in two and forces tuff decisions for the Japanesse commanders. 👍

Playing the 1943 setup right now for global but only with the pacific 1940 theatre.  It’s really fun so far and things are getting very interesting.  Islands such as New Britian, New Guniea, Dutch New Guniea are very important in this setup.  Just like they were historically.  I like how you put lots of troops in the Solomon’s and there’s a lot of things going on around the south pacific just like there was in 1943. Good Job :)
