@shadowhawk that seems logic but in the recent games germany invests 40 of its 55 average income (when they take leningrad) into land units to slowly march on moscow. The rest they buy a carrier, DD and sub on G1 and a sub and bomber every other turn so there is quite some built up.
It´s feasible to go there but yet again from there on, if you move to norway for exemple your follow-up forces in Gibraltar are vulnerable if you send your protection along with your big tpt fleet.

Maybe the Sahara expres can provide some early forces and pressure While you built up your Gibraltar fleet.

@SuperbattleshipYamato who is talking about 2 units? Often you can´t go to Gibraltar safely until turn 4. This allows you to send fast movers sooner. The accompanying infantry can be united and move to Gibraltar the next turn.

@taamvan sz91 is not always safe and thus requiers huge naval investments.

Has anyone ever tried shipping US troops via the West of Africa to the Middle east.
The goal we all want is to have as much US forces helping in the struggle.
If you built up tpt on US 1 in Washington and gather all your fast movers you can dropp them in West Africa on US2. So they can be in Middle east in US5. This off course in case of J1 DOW.

@Colonel-Mustard did you do a lot of strat bombing on Tokyo? I would built carriers and DD and an occasional transport to take an island. Did anzac had the chance of taking some money islands?
Didn´t he try to attack your fleet with his BB etc?

@SuperbattleshipYamato no from French indochina they can´t reach it. And coming from the Philippines they need to land on carriers. With a US fleet around Hawaii the Japs don´t leave lone fighters on Carolines. That´s why i chose Iwo Jima bc it´s that one space too far removed when the Jap fleet has just taken the money islands.

@shadowhawk if you get a bunch of US carriers (with Anzac fighters?) there and force Japan to attack you against not overwhelming odds then they need to position themselves more north and you got a battle of attririon around a naar worthless island. This might be in the favor of the allies?

@GovZ by the time you get your mass of bombers, Japan already has the islands so isn´t in that a big need of transports.
One central hub like the Philippines with its carriers etc and one tpt is enough to defend.

@Arthur-Bomber-Harris the biggest issue there is that you can´t bomb Berlin from london and return.

@Arthur-Bomber-Harris yes i agree 100% with that. The big difference with the pacific is that germans also have a land push , While the US in the pacific only have the bombers with a very small fleet.
Have you tried a bright skies in europe?

@GovZ one tpt doesn´t do that much . Dark skies is a defensive strategy and you use it in an offensive way. I´m just trying to understand how it can work

@Arthur-Bomber-Harris yes and once they have the money islands you can not threaten them. Also do you have landing spots after a raid?

@Arthur-Bomber-Harris can you get a critical mass of bombers? 10 aren´t enough to take on the IJN?
Let me know how it ends.

@MrRoboto so you don´t send anything against the germans?

I´ve found Japan doing nothing seriously after they take India bc they seem to have problems reshifting towards the next step.

@AndrewAAGamer with no opposition Ger can take moscow in G7. 10 UK fighters can block that but that gives a lot of room to italy.
Yes i´ve tried KJF numerous time and it works to contain Japan but at the cost of losing Afrika and or russia .

The idea of attzcking the IJN is nearly impossible. So when stacking Anzac fighters on US carriers makes your defense value increase big time (more than the 3 starting fighters off course) so you can position yourself in SZ6 and let him attack you. You might lose but at heavy cost for him so this battle of attrition is good for US when follow-up troops are coming.

@AndrewAAGamer the problem with your 2nd option is that Germany can attack moscow by turn 6 so US forces will be too late to make a difference.

Ever tried the US carrier with ANZAC fighters combo? It takes a huge fleet to be able to grab and defend carolines.

What is your reaction to a J1 opening and a german land buy signifing a G2 attack on Barbarossa.
Do you go for germany with US, for Japan or 50-50 built.
The 50-50 built seems not to work imo bc it gives you not enough punsh on both fronts.

@crockett36 i don´t throw away the transport. I use it to activate Iran with the inf from Sudan.
I attacked somalia with inf and art From India bc in our games J1 happens alot.
