@The-Janus they can dump units in there non the less. But not enough to take it on I1. And now you can retaliate on their fleet and still protect egypt and keep your fighters who can later on fly to moscow.

Normally Uk does the taranto raid in sz98. What italy normally does is go to Alexandria on I1. On G2 germany destroys cheaply the remaining UK ships and fly on to alexandria bolstering the defense. UK on UK2 has then already lost the Med bc she can only send 2 or 3 new ships which italy can kill. And on I2 they can land new units plus air attack on egypt.

With my idea you will keep egypt. Ok italy has other options but they often overstretch so UK can kill them piece by piece.

@The-Janus indd if you pull one more unit away than i did then italy can take it. Now they can´t.

@SuperbattleshipYamato yes of course. It was just to make sure you have the right amount of units in the sea zone. Nonetheless this move can only be done if germany doesn´t go for the cruiser in G1, doesn´t send the BB in 110 and sends a fighter to tobruk.

@SuperbattleshipYamato you land the fighters from malta and gibraltar on the carrier and the tac bomb if he survives in S France.

@The-Janus you are right about destroying the luftwaffe. But losing a fleet on the cheap, especially the UK fleet in the med early on will back fire. If you have 8 ships and Germany can attzck with 8 air units then you have several rounds of combat in which he will pay in fighters.

For now, I also retreat through the Suez and add my Pac fighter/tac Bomb to the carrier. So i can come back in the Med UK2 and construct an airbase in egypt on UK2. A video will follow next week.

@SuperbattleshipYamato i don´t like it bc UK takes huges risks and it will fail 90% of the times but it is possible and will definitly give a Spicy game.

The time i would see use in it is when you activily try to hunt the luftwaffe.

@FranceNeedsMorePower what you could do to save the french fleet:

If Germany doesn´t attack the UK cruiser at gibraltar you can scramble in 110 en next to scotland trying to kill as much fighters as you can. Depending on where Germany uses his BB you should be able to kill at least 2. A german player normally also sends one fighter to tobruk. So there are 9 air units left that can reach the french navy. 7 if he builts a carrier.

On UK1 kill the italian destroyer and tpt next to malta with fighter from malta and tac bomb from egypt.
Then in NCM pull all UK ships to South France and add the fighter from gibraltar and malta.
You could take the tpt from egypt with 2 inf with you and land them in S France. Boosting it to 4 ground units might deter italy from attacking it. If he doesn´t you can add the two french from normandy. Or ship in the french and canon for fun sakes. I think italy will use air to attack south france and ignore your fleet. If not and he attacks only the fleet you can tip or even lose your carrier and land fighters in S France.

This move is when you really want to hunt the luftwaffe. So UK1 should be a full built on london.
Egypt can´t attack ethiopia but should fortify in order to reppel a Italian landing on italy1.

Haven´t tried it and it will probably fail but it will be a very dynamic game.

I´ve come to see the game for the allies as an economic game in which I first try to keep london and Egypt (contain italy) and ASAP try and start convoying the Med and Norway plus bordeaux. Strat bombing german factories in russia or paris/West Germany also delays or annoys them.

In the pacific i think with anzac you can get 4 subs by Anzac3 and start harrassing Japan.
With US i would like to go to iwo jima and start bombinh Japan from there or at least forcing the IJN to come back north.

@FranceNeedsMorePower i have done that before as well as gibastion and in both cases the luftwaffe mobbed up the remainders of the UK fleet with minimal losses while the italian transports roam free.

Yes i have seen it and you are right, the French have an added value.
