Not doing taranto keeps 2 extra fighters on London. A buy of 5 inf there (plus the minor) is even strenger than the 6ind and fighter standard by.
The opening is not as aggresive as taranto but consolidates the forces for a strike on UK2 or 3.

@crockett36 i don´t throw away the transport. I use it to activate Iran with the inf from Sudan.
I attacked somalia with inf and art From India bc in our games J1 happens alot.

@Arthur-Bomber-Harris me neither but when bought on R1 that sub can reduce the number of german troops at the doors of moscow by turn 6 perhaps?

@SuperbattleshipYamato you don´t understand me.
What happens now is UK1 you do taranto and when italy doesn´t scramble you end up with a loaded carrier.
On G2 the luftwaffe attacks that fleet and bc you have no landing space you can´t take the carrier as casualties.
If you take greece on UK1 then on G2 you do have a landing space.

@SuperbattleshipYamato they probably will but it might give you a second round of combat with unit(s) defending on a 4 in stead of a 2.

I´ve tried the gibastion before but then italy gets a good chance of taking the NO in the middle east (landing 2 tpt in syria). Or even egypt on I2.
Plus you can´t unite the UK fleet with the Pac fleet.
My goal is to built and hold a minor in egypt UK1.
The gibastion is vulnerable too bc you need to stack Algeria to prevent italy from taking it.
In my plan you need the UK fightrrs on Alexandria to pair up with the Italian troops in Tobruk plus their airforce. If you land them at Malta they get a fair chance of destroying alexandria.
