      first of all it is UK attacking with 1 or 2 inf their choice and a fighter, i dont know where you got a tank from??? :?
      secondly the reason borneo is a prime target is because 3 reasons:
      A) It requires no naval battle to amphibious assault :-)
      B) It is worth a hefty 4IPC’s! :lol:
      C) It is only defended by 1 INFANTRY……ONE!!! (not two) :-o

      and if your destroyer killes the lone transport, you have just cut the japaneese transport capability in half, and if they want china they need to reinforce the mainland(not take back BORNEO!)

      remember…Borneo = 1 JAP INFANTRY

      Does anyone else take Borneo turn one with Brittan, I mean its defended by one inf and worth 4IPC’s.

      This is what i do; Attack Borneo with 1 or 2 inf from India(depens on your luck) and a fighter, I also send the destroyer to attack the japan transport.

      You’ll usually win the fight and japan will only have 1 transport on their first turn. If u start with an industrial complex in india build 3 tanks. Now japan has to either reinforce the mainland or take borneo back. You can also build and IC there of your feeling balzy then Borneo will be a huge spine in japans back. This however will limit your dealings with the germany folk.

      What do u think?

      WHAT?….I always thought that the max IPC’s that can be lost in one turn is the amount the territory is worth.
      (ex. with both IC’s Germany can only lose a max of 16 IPC’s per turn, 10ger, 6italy) :?

            I’m not sure if that would work since if u wait till turn 4 to attackthen Russia Will have had 4 turns to build up.Lets say you have 10inf and 6art (giving u benefit of the doubt), then 10 tanks and 5 ftrs. Lets say Russia buys 8 inf every turn, they will have approx 30-40 inf(including starting inf) and 3tanks and 2ftrs are u sure its a good deal you’ll get around 12 hits first urn and they’ll get around 13 then u have no inf and little art, and still have planes and tanks, they have around 20 inf left plus their planes and tanks. Are you gonna keep attacking? Now I know that this doesn’t take into account many other factors( one of which is that u are building anything for the other allies) but in my opinion is that u need to keep constant pressure on Russia or else they will get too powerful.

      This Is my regular R1 tell me what you think:

      Buy 4inf, 3art

      CombatM:
      Attack Bellorussia; 1ftr, 3inf(from Karellia SSR) +1ftr if i dont send to Egypt
      Attack W.Russia; 6inf, 2art, 4arm (all from Moscow “Coos-coos”, Archangel with 1 if left on archangel and 2 on the “Coos”)

      Non-ComM:
      1 inf from Arch. to Karellia
      2 inf from Kaz to coos
      2 inf from Nov to Mos
      2 inf from Eva to Mos
      2 inf from Yak to Nov
      1 inf from SFE to Yak
      1 sub to join the uk fleet
      1 AA gun from Mos to Wrussia(dont worry bmbr cant get to mos)
      2 ftrs to the coos
      Place:
      4 inf on “The Coos”
      3 art on Mos

      taking bellorussia shields your tanks from a counter as the only german territory adjacent is ukrane which means they can muster a max of 3 inf and 3 tanks, the aagun should deter ftrs so an attck on west russia would be foolish as you will have 4 tanks 2 art and between 3-6 inf, coos-coos is safe with 2ftrs 8 inf(they may go for it but at huge costs!, and you can easily take it back, may lose ftrs but they lose more), also they will undoubtetly take karelia but dont worry, let them…… it’s a trap.

      you can possibly turn the tide for the uk, of course it would be the last hit taken. Also it disallows you from using it during your combat phase, ive done it and it creates a big problem for germany… any thoghts on this

      “1337” is h@x0r lingo for “LEET” as in “Elite” :P yup, and h@x0r is lingo for hacker which isn’t necissarilly a bad thing nor does it mean you hack computers :-? .
      see in certain games (online) people call others hackers because they are really good (or well…because they do hack) because it angers these people when they do good or “hack”, the whole culture of it is really quite funny :wink: but if you are good and elite then you my friend are a 1337 h@x0r :P…like me and my 1337 posts

      a) prove a point
      b) see how many views this would get
      and c) to prove a point by seeing how many views this gets

      as some of you may be confused to the nature of this “topic” I have noticed(as have many others, but have not acted upon it) that roughly 50% of these topics and posts are about how to achive glorious victory with the mighty country of GERMANY!

      well to me this shows that anyone and their grandma is desperate for the perfect strategy 8) . its redundant, I mean seriously… what the hell. dont you think just maybe mr harris is playing a mean joke on us all by making it how it is, like re-enacting gettysburg and telling the southerners they have a chance. now I know there are a lot of noobs out there who play and are like omg, wtf, why cant germany win good?

      I dont really know what the purpose of this article is, I’m just tired(physically), and rambling on about incesit nothingness and… I don’t know, maybe I can just bring this useless fact to the surface… maybe some interesting replies will evolve this thread into something. or hey maybey you’ll productively use this information and make “how to win with germany” its own topic, but you wont cause then you can’t discriminate and would have to make it for everybody else, and that would be too much work(i’m not insulting your ethic i just figure it would be extra work), or maybe you’ll start charging people money for good strats, jk thats evil :evil: …but hey…

      AND MAYBE im overstepping my bounds, and this is the right place for it(which it probably is :-? ) but i just wanted to point out the quantity, consistancy, and redundancy of this same topic day in and day out but hey even if this is all crap and its al wrong i know one thing i’m right about…

      to really get some payback for pearl harbour and halt japaneese transport this is what u buy
      -2 aircraft carriers
      -1 fighter

      have the 2 AC’s come out next to the BB and the tranny, fly the east US ftr and the hawii ftr to west america so when your 2 AC’s are deployed they are full of ftrs. also move up your destroyer to the mexican ocean.

      Assuming japan took china buy 4 ftrs next turn to replace any lost ftrs cause you will be sending your original ones out against japaneese vessels
      look at it this way sea battles are expensive and people usually say buy subs to take hits but I disagree, for 2 ipcs more you get ftrs which take hits(after the tranny of course unless your transporting something) and they attack better, defend twice as well, and move twice as fast. remember to keep the 1 destroyer alive to defend from subs.

      LOOK AT THAT,

      • 2 Aircraft Carriers
      • 4 Fighters
      • 1 Battleship
      • 1 Destroyer
      • 1 Transport
        and 4 ftrs to replace losses!
        (picture it in your mind to see how mean that is, especially the 2 AC’s)

      after 2 turns you have a force capable of holding up japan for at least 3 turns and now you can focus on germany for the rest of the game. 8)

      hey I thought I would mix it up a little since 90% of people go for germany first, just make sure your UK and russia players are compitent, but hey if they arent in the first place your screwed anyway :-?

      HERE ARE SOME IDEAS!! :D

      Mechanized Inf: at the begginning of movement pair up 1 inf with each tank(if you choose) the paired up inf now has a move of 2 as long as it travels the same route as the tank.

      also you seemed to be having troble on a rule that make heavy tanks reasonable yet worth it, how about this;
      tanks attack value is reduced to 2 but each tank rolls 2dice 8)

      any replies……comments…please…

      IT IS POSSIBLE!!!
      you can do it but plan to lose your ftrs.
      this is what you buy G1
      -aircraft carrier
      -3transports
      move 4 tanks, 4 inf, and 4 ftrs to france, send 2 ftrs to germ (for the AC), keep the er in range, and move your subs up so that the british navy cant block you. the acc is needed to protect the trannys and repel america’s navy after you take it.
      G2 attack uk with
      -4 inf
      -4 arm
      -6 ftrs
      -1 bmbr

      that should work :D try it!
