      Yes, an act of war by Japan on UK or ANZAC(and maybe France?) puts them at war with the US.

      It does not put them at war.  It allows them to declare war.  There is a rather large distinction, as Japan can end the turn in seazones with US ships (or attack seazones with both US and UK/Anzac ships, ignoring the US ships) that are still friendly to them until the US declares war on the combat move of its next turn.

      Japan declaring war on France has no impact whatsoever.  Japan can declare war on france and as long as they don’t attack FIC, they’ll continue to collect their National Objective.  Even if they do attack FIC, japan only loses their objective.  It does not permit the US to declare war.

      The copy of the Alpha +2 rules I have don’t say the 30 IPC’s that the US originally got for being at war, were now divided between the NO’s in the Alpha +2 rules. So just wanted to make sure.

      In the original OOB rules, the US gets 30 IPCs each turn as long as it holds the continental US.  It’s a NO.

      In the Alpha +.2 rules, it’s similar but it’s more split up between the different US territories.

      Mike,

      Where do you live in OC? We can also meet at Game Master in OC for a live game or check out the events section on the forum. I’m putting together a weekend A&A event in a cabin in the mountains free of charge the weekend of 10/26. There will be between 4 to 6 people coming. I also play live games down at Game Towne in San Diego. I also play live games at my buddies house in San Clemente. There is also a gaming convention up in LA Labor Day weekend.

      The rule that you quoted deals with airbases that border more than one sea zone, not sea zones that border more than one airbase.  The point of it is that an airbase in a territory that borders more than one sea zone may still only scramble three planes, not three planes into each sea zone that it borders.

      Generally I send 2 ss to SZ 111, 2 to SZ 106, and 1 to SZ 91. Killing the cruiser is nice because it gives Italy a bit more freedom, yet killing the trans & sub in SZ 106 is more important IMHO because it slows a canadian reinforcement army and gives your subs more freedom as UK will only have 1 dd. SZ 111 is necessary because you don’t really want to trade airforce for a bb and dd, especially since UK will likely scramble because you have no way of soaking up hits, while they have 1 free hit.

      correction in 112 reason, you will need to judge whether you can afford to lose air or a ship if he is lucky enough to get 2 hits.  Just remember what you bought and how much you can afford to replace air.  I would lose a ship over air cause a ship does not help you sealion or barb as much as your air does.

      Can someone walk me through step by step how to do this? I clicked on the link and followed the instructions and it still didn’t work. I’ve played A&A Anniversary and A&A Pacific 1940 on this site before but for some reason the Europe 1940 map is not working. Thanks in advance!

      though technically I believe a submarine can only be “submerged” during the combat phase and after the combat phase ends it is no longer considered “submerged”. So during any collect income phase, submarines cannot be submerged for any reason regardless at that point in a turn.

      I believe Kreig has previously expressed the problems with the rule as submarines are often “submerged” regardless and it’s a misnomer.

      Commando Brado, wow this was a bad predicament to be in. I’m assuming that Japan was in allied hands and this was a last ditch effort to get it back (it gets one turn to do so). Boy did you get screwed by not having any ships that could take out those US subs, or force them to submerge. I didn’t think much of the a/c not having an attack value any more til now.

      Edit: The only other scenario I could see where you would want to bring Jap transports into sz 6 combat is you still have Japan, and are trying to liberate Korea.

      Siam is original Japanese (it has a japanese simbol). Manchuria should be as well because historically it was from 1931, but that’s not the case in our game

      Yeah, but Manchuria is a Chinese place. Like the Soviets took it, but it’s not like okay this place is Japanese let’s keep it. They are just adding realism to the game. at least i think :|

      Maybe I may do an error, because I do not play by forum but I have read as the forum dice roller works. The number after the @ indicates the attack value of the dice. Hypothetically the hit value should not influence the result of the “dice rolled”, which is always a d6. The problem is that rolling a d6 with an attack value of 13 it is impossible to have a hit confirmation from the dice roller. It is still possible to asses the hits with “human intervention”.

      In such situation, the, the 2@13 are two d6 rolled for the two infantry and should be considered ok. If one of them score a a 1, it should be a hit. So the only thing to do is to roll for the 3@3, for having the fighters outcome.

      As I said, however, I am not an expert of forum dice rolling, so a more qualified opinion is needed!  :-D

      He can build 1 IC and 1 INF. The damage markers only indicate the limited production of a damaged IC.
      A newly built IC is considered to be build in a new territory, with the resources and manpower available of the country it is in.
