      @Variable:

      @Admiral:

      Actually allworkandnoclay, I have question for you.

      Any particular books you can recommend, you know, for references and illustrations regarding unit camos/colors, etc?

      Good question! You beat me to it.

      I remember seeing a book series on infantry, I can’t remember the name per say, but I think it was called ‘Men at War’. I believe, or rather assumed it contained such illustrations and references. Don’t run to the bank with it though.

      For the other units, (especially those naval ones) I would love to see what AWANC used.

      lol, AWANC and ANZAC

      @Brain:

      I think people just want to have a mushroom cloud piece like Supremacy had:

      Don’t you know? It’ll be made of cardboard.  :wink:

      I personally don’t see the need for an A-bomb house rule, but if people want to, they can. I guess just like in reality though, noone wants to undertake Operation Downfall. laughs

      Sorry for taking awhile to reply.

      Space for Time. The Allies, mainly the Chinese, would just have to re-take the Burma Road, its the only way those M3’s and M4’s legitimately could get over there. The area is usually contested in my games, so I can some armor units from the U.S managing to join the NRA.

      As for Soviet units, I’ve toyed with the idea, I’m still unsure of it however.

      Whilst most of the heavy duty stuff was experimental, or in some cases never saw combat, I tend to lean towards Japanese armor innovations such as the Type 4 Chi-To and Type 5 Chi-Ri. Yes, most of these are foreign based designs, but the Japanese seemed to add their own ‘flair’.

      Another vehicle that didn’t see combat, but a personal favorite, the Type 3 Chi-Nu.

      @democratic:

      Theres one problem with this. The A-Bomb can only be droped on 1 city . It cannot damage the entire nation, so stop treating it like it can blow up the whole of Greenland.

      This.

      When I was younger and browsed many sites containing house rules, an atomic bomb variation always appeared in every two out of five scenarios. Of course, it looks good on paper, but it gets into a complicated mess, for reasons aforementioned.

      Now, unless someone wants to make some sort of ‘morale system’, I could see it being used somewhat… um, how do I put this… effectively.

      @SilverAngelSurfer:

      Perhaps that both the Russians and Japanese get 5 IPCs for every turn they aren’t at war?

      What would be the historical basis however?

      Saved resources on the count that both parties are not at war, or are you alluding to trading between the Soviets and Japanese via railways in Manchuria that connected to the Trans-Siberian Railway?

      @crusaderiv:

      I’ve also thought of giving China (in all incarnations) the ability to purchase American armor units in limited quantity if certain conditions are met. I’m still trying to work it out however.

      Hum……not historicaly accuracy at all.
      Chinese industries didn’t have the ability to built tank.
      You must think about conscription. OK for more artillery and flying tiger but no tank.

      Actually yes, there is some historical accuracy.

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Development_of_Chinese_armoured_forces_(1927–1945)

      I never said the Chinese would build these units, they would have to be purchased from the United States, much like the artillery pieces in Pacific 40’. Also, only if certain conditions are met would that be even possible and in extremely limited quantities. I’m thinking the limit would maybe be two - three?

      Just a thought I had to spice up the Sino-Japanese theater.

      @ABWorsham:

      My favorite WWI leader is Paul von Lettow-Vorbeck; his 3,000 guerrilla warriors tied up 300,000 British troops in Africa. He surrender two weeks after Germany’s defeat.

      You beat me to this.

      The man even made the British (Yes, the British) pay his former African soldiers.

      @Brain:

      @Admiral:

      The soviet union’s NO is amazing, the German’s NO might want to make the soviets attack early

      There should be a rule against Russia declaring war on Germany.

      I disagree. They were both evil and treacherous governments and should be presented as so.  :wink:

      laughs

      Well, I heard Stalin did have a plan to invade, but it wouldn’t come for quite awhile, somewhere in 1942 - 1943. (?) By 1940, he was just recovering from his Purges and his military was in shambles.

      Remember, at this time both Germany and the Soviet Union had a non-aggression pact, and since the Soviets weren’t in the position to make any sort of incursion (against Germany), I can see rules similar to that of the U.S in the Pacific.

      US Infantry coming later tonight… Finishing up the roundels. Stay tuned.

      I would think that the roundels would be the longest part of the paint job.

      Yet, he seems to pull it off almost flawlessly.

      @finnman:

      Sweat were did you see these.
      The soviet union’s NO is amazing, the German’s NO might want to make the soviets attack early, Britain’s NO sounds hard to get

      My eyes must be bad, or I’m very tired, but I saw;

      “Soviets see what you did there.
      The soviet union’s NO is amazing, the German’s NO might want to make the soviets attack early, Britain’s NO sounds hard to get”

      None the less, I do concur. However, not so much with the British NO, but thats only based on personal playing experience.

      Hrm.

      I really do see where Hobbes and kcdzim are coming from, but what is keeping me from conforming, is such;

      1: Rules/errata have established that in order to enter Chinese territory, the UK/ANZAC forces must declare war on Japan. Correct?

      2: Pertaining to the original post, I am assuming the British player can only even think moving this fighter unit to Hong Kong during their Noncombat move. Correct?

      3: Pertaining to point 1, wouldn’t moving a fighter into Chinese territory require it to stop there, thus ending its movement? That is how I currently interpret this matter, the unit must enter Chinese space and stay there.
