    • RE: Amphibious assault???

The battleship only fires if troops or tanks ARE LANDED off of the transports. This might mean that you sarcastically load and unload a transport just to move an infantry one space from Ukraine to Caucasus, but its legal.

    • RE: Nazi Diplomacy

      Anyone ever played Reagan’s War?

US controls S. Euro and Japan; UK controls W. Euro and Norway

USSR has Germany and all of E. Euro territories, including Manch, China, Siinkang, Kwangtung, Indochina. (All Commie areas.)

All African territories are worth 0 IPCs.

UK and US vs. USSR !!!

    • RE: Axis strategy if Japan falls to US

If the US goes after Japan 100%, then Japan should see it coming AND Germany should have the game nearly wrapped up on half of the planet…

Or you could give Germany an extra 5 or 6 infantry in Ukraine…

Could someone explain to me why so many people feel sorry for the UK in this scenario? The UK is more than capable of taking and holding Africa by herself. With this cash coming in, the UK can choose from a variety of attack plans.

      Guys, try this out.
It finally makes the Pacific what it should be.

2 Hit BBs, 3rd Ed Rules, NO magic 84 Rule, Paratroopers.

Scenario: Due to good diplomacy, Germany avoids war with the United States. The Americans are at war ONLY with Japan, and may not attack any German units or territories until A) Germany attacks the US, or B) Japan proper has been captured.

Tell me what you guys think…

    • RE: Take Hawaii

Although it sets me back 30 IPCs, I prefer to build complexes in both S. Africa and Egypt. Then I roll 4 tanks a turn up Japan’s (sometimes soft) underbelly.

    • UPDATE THE STRATEGY SECTION

We collectively could provide great knowledge and wisdom for the reorganizing of the site’s strategy section, so why doesn’t somebody just do it?

    • Violence in Islam

I agree that most of the world’s Muslims are followers of a peaceful religion, but at the same time, I feel like parts of the Qur’an lend themselves to radical interpretation.

      For instance,

“Those who believe fight in the way of Allah, and those who disbelieve fight in the way of the devil. So fight against the friends of the devil; surely the struggle of the devil is ever weak.” –-Qur’an 4:76

    • RE: The Existence of God

I was challenged by a guest to read carefully the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics and then make a case that it is in conflict with evolution. Merry Christmas.

“In terms of entropy the second law states that the total entropy of a closed system cannot decrease.”
      –xrefer.com “Thermodynamics”

Entropy as an adjective is most easily described as disorder. To say that disorderliness, apart from outside intervention, cannot decrease, is saying this: Unless YOU personally do something, your messy room won’t get any cleaner.
So let me ask you this, if we evolved from single-celled organisms, didn’t we need, according to this law, some OUTSIDE INTERVENTION in order to become more complex beings?

    • RE: Japan vs a Good USA player

You really don’t need to go after the USA, but if you must, this is sometimes fun…

      X= whenever opportunity knocks

On turn X, land 6-8 inf in Alaska. The USA will amass forces to come up to Alaska, but don’t worry, Alaska is not your objective… On turn X+1, move all naval units to Sea of Japan for reloading. On that same turn, lots of USA infantry will probably move into W. Canada, and that’s exactly what you want. On turn X+2 move your entire fleet to Hawaii, and take it with AT LEAST 10 infantry. This move is called “Check.” Now the USA has many land units in W. Canada, but has to worry about the invasion of California. Which direction should the units go? They could take Alaska, but it leaves W. Canada open and makes the American player heavily rely on whatever infantry he places in CA at the end of his turn. He could move everything to CA, but Canada is open again, and the Jap threat in Hawaii remains… either way, you’ve just disrupted about 4-6 turns of US movements to Europe… Germany can breathe now.

I don’t mind letting USSR keep Karelia, because after Japan is done, that’s all their gonna have. 8)

Soon_U_Die, thank you for that post, it was very helpful.

I like the idea of holding off of techs until R5, but I’ve usually got it wrapped up by then…. (My friends REALLY need to learn how to play correctly!!!)

    • RE: Britain or USSR?

I think that Sealon is an insane plan. If you pull it off against an experienced player, than you have my respect.

I thought that the opening question was talking about whose land to take. I voted for UK because of Africas vulnerability…

Finsternis, the Second Law of Thermodynamics is called a law for a reason… it has never in a lab been broken. Where does the “pseudo” come in?

      Finsternis, I’m curious.

What is your view on Entropy VS. Evolution? I find that they quite contradict each other, while only entropy is actual scientific law…
