Heh heh yeah that’s what I thought! (a german-japanese blockade being weird) but it’s doing good because I’ve had the worst luck trying to destroy it. (we’re playing the game over the internet, so it does go kinda slow sometimes), so we haven’t finished yet. I flew over british planes, they’re in canada now, and I think i’ll try that Brazilian IC.

    • UNWANTED containment…

Hey, I’m in a game right now with 2 friends, and I’m playing the allies. I’m not doin too good, because I can’t bring the US into the war!

The Japan player had excellent luck at Pearl Harbour, and he’s used his ships to blockade me in western US. The German player, on the other side, has used submarines and is blocking my in eastern US! And I CANNOT sink these ships, it’s the strangest thing I’ve ever seen. (unbelieveably bad luck with planes vs their boats)….so what should I do? Build another IC? Where?

Yep, it’s 84. But I don’t really like economic victory anyways (whether it’s for the axis or the allies) I’d rather take the capitals!

Hey Mike, do you use anything to balance the game more in favour of the axis, or have you not found any problems with this?

Russia restricted, bids, 2-hit battleships, and a lot of other things can be used. (I’m sure you can find info on these on a lot of previous threads)

Sorry, just had to bring this topic back up to the top, so Yanny won’t miss it! Just cuz I’d like to know which countries were at were as well. (or which countries you planned to have at war…)

Slightly off topic (but still dealing with the middle east) do you guys think they should go back and get Saddam Hussein?

    • RE: K, whats your favorite war movie.

Yeah it’s actually All Quiet On The Western Front I believe, but when it’s literally translated it’s Nothing New on The Western Front. I haven’t seen the movie, the book is good though.

Damn, I’m surprised this topic didn’t get more replies! I’d have to say that my favourites are Enemy At The Gates and Saving Private Ryan. Platoon is very cool too, I haven’t seen it in awhile though.

What’s Apocalype Now about? It’s set in Vietnam, right? I’ve heard people recommend it, but I haven’t gotten around to renting it yet…Want to see Schindler’s List as well. (although I don’t think that’s really a WAR movie)

Do you think you’d get thrown in prison for killing the child, if it was for that cause(curing world’s diseases)? And if you WOULD get thrown in prison for killing the child (for 20 years, say) would you still do it?

Tsk tsk tsk…as Travolta said after the other guy answered ‘no’ to the question:
      ‘It’s for the greater good!’
One child is certainly worth the lives of millions. I’m sure someone’s thinkin ‘who the hell are you to judge the value of a life, Chris?!’ But it’s just my opinion.

    • Just answer.

OK, this is from Swordfish. You have the power to cure all of the world’s diseases. But the price for this is that you have to kill one innocent child. Could you kill that child? (we’ll say it’s with a knife). I said yes, and so far I’m the only one who has answered yes out of everyone at my school and in my family that I’ve asked.

    • RE: Concealed Carry Law - My bet is most A&A players are for it.

Have any of you seen that video of that North Hollywood (I think) shootout, after a bank robbery? The one where there’s two guys in full body armor, with AK’s. That was pretty nuts. Do any of you own air guns? I’m 16, so I’ve owned plenty of those rather than real guns. The most I’ve had at once was 4 airguns…we used to have pellet gun wars all the time, but stopped after I shot my brother in the knuckle (we didnt wear any protective things, not even goggles…so I guess it was GOOD that my brother got shot in the knuckle before one of us got shot in the face)

    • RE: Star Wars!

Star Wars? Pfff I wouldn’t really go out of my way to see it in the theatre. Two of my friends though, they reserved tickets a week ago for the second showing of Episode II at the theatre downtown. Heh heh but then they found out(after they bought them) that they had a Physics exam at the same time. (this was today) SO they had to miss it.

Ha! You seriously have an AK-47 in your bedroom?? LOL I’d love to see the look on THAT robber’s face when he walks into your room to see ya standin there in your robe with an AK-47 pointed at him. What kind of handgun do you carry?
