I just finnished a german map (with more historical borders than the OOB map) of Anniversary. Hope you like it.

I changed the SZ numbers into names and added Pripjet, Macedonia and Western-/Eastern Ukraine…

I think the map is finnished now Â :-)

What do you think about the political collapse numbers (like in the PTR) ?

The essence for Russia is not to attack (except Messopotamia R1). With Russia you should buy mostly Infantry (like France) and wait tillUS shows up after Round 4. Anything else will help the CPs to crush the Russian bear too early.

As CPs you should always attack first with Germany, followed by AH. This double punch is much more efficient and does not allow the Russians to reinforce a contested area that you want to take really quick.

Perfect map with the naval/air bases printed on it, that really safes space!

Young grasshopper, do you have seperate files only for the Europe and/or Pacific map?
The global file is too big for my computer to cut it by myself. (always ends with an fatal error)

I would immediantlty go for print but I am searching for this without the Vichy regime symbols on Southern France, North Africa and Syria… Anyone could help out?

What to do with Russia? When does t4 start?

Also have to be careful with US; do you accaount for the units they’re been building up on turns 1-3? Or just increase their basic income.

Maybe all units should be +1 cost for every power.

I would say Germany owns Poland, Livonia and Belgium, contests Picardie, Lorraine, Burgundy, White Russia and Ukraine (together with AH) AH owns Serbia and Romania. Russia is about to go into revolution if the CPs push one last time. Maybe a big GE/AH stack in Venice that reached the Piave with only a few Italians left to defend there. France is about to go on the Nivelloffensive to throw the germans out of Burgundy (Champagne). The British have mobilized Greece. (Since its neutral oob, they have troops there) There were still some german uboots in the atlantic.

US start with 12 Inf and 2 Art, together with 1 BS, 1 Cr and 7 transports. Agree with the +1 cost for all units.

Africa is cleared up, except for German East Africa.

What`s with this Spain-inavsion-obsession? This is one of the dumbest things to do with the US.

The four IPCs you may gain will cost you troops worth 12 IPCs statistically. Even more if its an amphibious assault and the spainards were allowed to strike pre emptively with their Artillery.

Land the doughboys in Spanish Marocco, you get one IPC for free with the oob-rules and them send them to Italy/Turkey/Albania in the next round but please leave Spain alone.

The only neutrals that should be attacked in A&A1914 are Persia and Switzerland.

Looks promising but its also a little bit frustrating that there is no release date announced yet.

Hopefully you changed some false tt-names like the Isonzo-tt in Italy or Kosovo in North Serbia.

I would buy all of this beautiful miniatures anyway!!

Flash did you ever wrote down your Rail-Movement House Rules? I would like to try them. Does it cost IPCs? How much units can be moved per turn and in which areas?

some thoughts for more USW impact (together with PTR):

2 more starting subs for Germany (near Morocco maybe?)
More USW-zones (!)
when declaring USW, Germany gets every Round 1 Sub as Bonus for free
US will come into war in R4 never earlier - regardless how much damage Germany does to their
income in the Rounds before
Subs do not have to stop when entering a mined enemy seazone and dont have to
role for mines
instead of firing, Subs can submerge. Submerging Subs can only be hit with a 1.

I don�t want to tick you off IL, plus I don�t know nothing about your other projects in work, but I still have to ask you:

Before A&A1914 was released, Larry Harris wrote some reports from his walk through Round 1.
It really built up excitement in my opinion.

It would be marvellous if we could read a weekly “Report from the front” of your auspicious game!
Just think about it.
For me thats the best way to get introduced to the rules and mechanics of the game.
At least this makes more fun than reading the 40 pages of rules at a stretch.

All that Russia, France and Italy have to buy in the first 4 Rounds is Infantry.

They dont have to attack (except for Sewastopol -> Mesopotamia R1) they just need to hold the ground and reinforce contested tts.

That will give the UK enough time for their Balfour Declaration which will increase significant new forces (US) to tip the scale.

Austria has some tough decisions to make in the first Rounds. This will tell the story of the game.

What did the other playtesters say about the game compared to A&A1914?

Which alliance won last Saturday?

Is it possible to use the miniatures of TGW14-18CoE in A&A1914 without them looking like giants/dwarfs compared to the OOB ones?

I do agree that the TT-Rules were much better than OOB, but I still dont get why the Infantry in Africa had to be reduced.

We always play PTR with OOB-African-Setup.
