I think the best and Most historical way is to create more usw zones for German submarines that will cost the allies ipc when there were uboats there At the collect income Phase (Maybe take a Look At my Own Game in the variants)

They cant and normally the Germans have other things to do than just sit in southern Austrian countryside.

Actually, here is the exact rules for that:

Italy rule:
Italy is only at war with Austro-Hungary when they enter the game on turn 3.ï¿½ Â They do not go to war and attack the other central powers until turn 6, although Italy may be attacked by any of the central powers and going to war early with all of them if that happens.

German units cannot enter Austria-Hungary till turn 6

Not so historical when you think of the german Alpenkorps. Although Germany and Italy were not at war until 1916, the Alpenkorps was immediately dispatched to reinforce the thinly occupied front line in the Dolomite mountains. It did not undertake offensive actions, but defended the front against repeated attacks by the Italian Alpini until Austria was able to extract enough forces from the eastern war theatre and relocate them to the new front.

It would be better when German units cannot enter Italy till turn 6 but why shouldnt they help prevent the collapse of Austria Hungary? Historically german units helped their austrian buddies on Eastern front in Galicia in 1915 already, think of Mackensens 11th army at Gorlice Tarnow (located in Austrias Galicia)

I will be traveling to the Dardanelles and Gallipoli on sunday for one week and visit the battlefields,

I recognized some minor errors: Rheims is a city in the Champagne, Kosovo should be far more in the South of Serbia. (Its in the north west of the tt you call macedonia), Beloruss and White Russia are the same. Better call the eastern one “Minsk” or with the actual borders on the map better “Smolensk”.

All in all this looks so much better than A&A 1914…

Yeah I know but the original tt of Gallipoli is too small to place more than one plastic soldier in there…

That is why I had to enlarge the tt (like I did with Belgium, Montenegro and Macedonia for example). The name is just representative for any landing zone near Constantinople but since the Allies actually did land in Gallipoli it was no question that the tt should be named Gallipoli.

In my opinion it sounds cooler (and more historically) to anounce an amphibious assault against Gallipoli than for example “Western Turkey”.

Edit: I changed Gallipoli into Dardanelles. :-D

Nice work Chacmool, better map and more territories I like it. I see that you just have Lorraine and you didn’t keep Burgundy (which I don’t care for) my only question is that did you only keep it out to the western front bigger?

I wanted to make it possible for the Germans to reach the Paris-tt if they invest everything in the west. Thats why Burgundy was erased.

It has also the nice effect that Western-front is larger for possible French/British/US/German contested zones.

Why should US attack Spain?? The Germans take Paris while the Amis drive their tanks through Madrid… :-P

Flash, your suggestions are reasonable and correct, but this isnÂ´t the Anniversary Edition map any longer.

All I wanted was a german map for me and my buddies that allowed us to play OOB A&A50 on a bigger map that has the biggest errors (baltic states, Poland etc.) excluded.

Thanks, I did only use microsoft paint. (Same with my beloved WW1 map)

Unfortunately I am a computer/design noob, so they wonÂ´t get better than that - although they would look much nicer with some topographical elements.
