RE: I Will Never Grow Up becomes the exclusive distributor of FMG Productposted in Marketplace
Resolved. Sorry about that!
I just got the dice yesterday, so I’d like to say: Thank you!
Ya even threw in a free pack of Canada dice!Even though they’ll probably have to wait a long time before I have a game that adequately represents Canada, that is freaking awesome.
Thanks again. -
RE: HBG Themed WW2 & WW1 Diceposted in Other Axis & Allies Variants
I dont know if this would be a good option or not to do, but…
I would totally buy custom WW2 12 sided dice to use with the maps/games sold at HBG.Other than that, idk.
Idk what else HBG can do that is dice related to A&A and be unique,
Considering that IWNGU sells them FMG dice and that the new WWI dice is coming out soon.I guess I would buy Neutral specific dice, but regular white dice does good enough.

Do you have Grey German Combat Dice?
I am considering getting another full Combat Dice set.A limited number of sets, yes - add a note in the comments/instructions that you want grey and I’ll swap the black ones out for you if you’re getting a full set.
Aw, ya’ll sent me black dice despite the note anyway :
Should have seen it coming and add separate dice to my order as a precaution… oh well I guess. -

RE: A&A 1940 Global National Objective Card Deckposted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
I just ordered a pack of these. Probably won’t arrive in time for Christmas but I’m still looking forward to giving them as a late gift.
Thanks for all your great work, Young Grasshopper.
Think it took 3 weeks to get mine, maybe?
You’ll surely like them when ya get them, I know I did.Great work indeed, Young Grasshopper.

@ProtesT:
Hopefully someone notices this new post in the sticky. On the ArtsCow website during the purchasing phase of the order it shows a picture of one German “NO” card with the quantity of 1 and it says it’s $16.99 Canadian plus shipping to purchase this. Before I do so, I need to make sure that it’s $16.99 for the entire 54 card deck or just for one card out of the deck.
Keeping in mind Grasshopper has a new deck coming out, I’d still like this in the meantime.
Yeah, it’s the whole deck as expected, no worries :-P
They’re cool and useful enough, so definitely get 'em.And big thanks to Young Grasshopper. Can’t wait to try em out next time I game this winter.

I’m pretty sure that picture is just to be representative of the whole 54 cards. After all, $17 for one card is absurd.
In any case, I’m expecting my order to show up today or sometime this week.I’ll tell ya if its just a card or the whole deck. :-P
Maybe even upload a picture. -

“Official Gold Sponsor”? I’d rather only see adds from HBG and IWNGU than any from FMG.
Agreed.

RE: Issues with Field Marshal Games?posted in Marketplace
Just curious, what brought you back to FMG a third time that you didn’t get the first two times? I got the one thing I found super cool at FMG (the combat dice) and after that, there’s not really much I can think of that I can’t get elsewhere from more reliable sources (like HBG or IWNGU).
So glad I got what I got when the getting was good, and sorry for your current situation.
1st time I got the full set of combat dice.
2nd time I got the cardboard dice tower and a set of Italy pieces (Since HBG was out of stock.)Then I lost the cardboard dice tower back in March.
So in August, I thought about getting another set of combat dice and might as well get another dice tower.
Some reason, I didnt think about checking IWNGU first for the dice. Oh well. -

Yeah, idk whats going on over at FMG, but it’s getting pretty damn bad lately.
The previous two times I ordered from them was fine enough (even with the lack of communication)But its been over 3 months since I did my last order with them and I still have nothing.
No email replies, nothing.
I tried contacting them through Paypal, nothing so far, definitely seeking a refund soon if they still don’t bother to reply. -
RE: HBG - Axis & Allies Parts/Accessories and Custom Piece Sets Store!posted in Marketplace
In their comments section to their Facebook post linking to that newsletter, HBG said they will do 3D printed runs of the Bismark and Leipzig.
When will that be, who knows.
But I’m glad that it will be a thing. I was looking forward to the Bismark the most and didn’t realize it until I read that the pieces were defective. Hope to see those 3D printed pieces on their website soon. -

Been over a month since I made an order, haven’t gotten anything yet.
As seems to be the norm for FMG, no status updates or replies.Their website has been down for well over a week now. Kinda worrying, ngl.

Guys, they said on facebook, it would be in a few weeks. That is all I know at this time.
I’ve been checking their fachebook page, but I have never seen any posts saying that.
I hope that really is the case.HBG really has to pick up on their game in engaging with followers.
No posts for almost 4 months now. Not cool.ch0senfktard, there are two facebook accounts, and I can’t remember if it was on their main facebook page or their Global War account. I agree with you that they need to post more often and communicate better.
At this point we can only hope that we can get them soon. Sorry, that is all I know.
Yeah, it’s on their Global War page. Thx for aiding in clearing things up, John.
Post was on July 18th.
“… the third German set is a few weeks out with a ton of new German units …” -

Yeah the lack of info for months is disconcerting.
Indeed. Would prefer to be kept in the loop rather than wonder and wonder.
Good news or bad news. So, HBG. What happened to the German Set #3 that we’ve pre-ordered?
Any response would suffice, guys, even a vague, non-informative one at this point! -
RE: New game called: Battle of France 1940posted in Other Axis & Allies Variants
Ch0senfktard,
Sorry for the inconvenience, I will look into whether that was an anomaly in printing or a more general mistake. Sorry about that, and I would be willing to send you another copy of the rulebook if you want.
FreddyThanks for the offer, but I’m sure I can just disassemble and reassemble the pages to be the correct order whenever I have the time to do so.
I simply wanted to bring this to your attention just in case other rule books have the same problem.
-
RE: New game called: Battle of France 1940posted in Other Axis & Allies Variants
Hey Freddy -
I know you’re checking with your partners on my inquiry. Here’s an alternative to my question: when I buy a copy of the game, could I then get a digital copy of the rules and set-up charts to read/review on my electronic device (iPad)?
Jon
As an alternative, you could take pictures of the book with your iPad and use that.
But also I’d like to bring up a little problem about the rule book.
My rule book came jumbled up. By that I mean pages were wierdly scrambled about. For example, one page is pg 13 and the next is pg 5. It threw me way off at first when I was looking for specific stuff. Now I’ll have to flip through the pages looking for a number. Not a big problem, but an inconvenience nonetheless. -
RE: The Great War 1914-1918: Clash of Empiresposted in Other Axis & Allies Variants
@Imperious:
I posted 6 different pictures, not one
This is the starting setup BTW.
Played 2 games, 1st stalemate, 2nd Allied Victory
5 of which appear to be some sort of battle of France in 1940.
Guessing that was a mistake? -
RE: 1940 GLOBAL Strategies By Powerposted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
I would hold off on that Australia idea as Japan…
First and foremost, Japan needs to increase its income to survive, Australia isn’t immediately important in that regard.
#1 thing for Japan: Secure the dutch east indies. Those four islands (Borneo, Celebes, Java, and Sumatra) plus Japan’s National Objective for them nets them 20 IPCs. Plus the Philippines, Kwangtung, Malaya and French Indo-China, thats an additional 10 IPCs… Jumping Japans income from 26 to 56.
Now where you go from here, that’s up to you, but it would seem to me that India would now be a more easier target than Australia. Let me explain:
By taking over Borneo, Kwangtung, and Malaya… India’s income drops by 10. If they haven’t conquered anything in that time, they will only have 7 IPCs, compared to ANZAC’s 10-15 IPCs.
Plus, Japan has plenty of forces on the Asian mainland to help with a Calcutta takeover…
Whereas taking out ANZAC would entirely require transports WHILE ANZAC can get reinforcements from USA pretty easily (Whether it be land units or aircraft.)
Just seems more easier to go for India instead, where they’re far from US assistance.
