Have any of you played Superpowers board game or the online version. Would love to hear some feedback and always looking for new players for the online game. Check it out if you have a few minutes:
Yes, a big change will be the piece colors and I hope to make the expansion pack and new version at the same time. Having cards is a very interesting idea, but the game has so much complexity to it already that I am not likely to expand into new areas like that.
I think with some improved pieces and colors and a few rule tweaks it has to potential to be a very popular military game.
Have any of you checked out my modern day variant of the game? There is both an online version and board version. I could use some feedback as I am planning on making a second edition of it and can improve on the already very fun variant.
Hardcore Axis & Allies players wanted to test out their abilities in a modern day version of the game called Superpowers. Same attack structure and similar style pieces, but many things changed to make the game even more fun and better balanced.
Modern Day specialty units plus hero units, new technologies and wide open alliances. there is both a board game and an online game version.
The online version is very fun and is completely FREE. nothing to install. Give it a try and please give feedback.
I doubt any of you could beat me at the game ;)
Yes, I agree with you guys. I hope to make a new version with new pieces and new colors and a few new rules but the same basic game. The playability of this game is first rate. Its faster play than A&A easier to setup, easier to play, better rules, better pieces, more balanced and the diplomacy aspects of it are fantastic.
To date I’ve sold about 10% of the games (that’s about 250 copies) and if I am able to sell another 1000 or so I will start work on version #2.
thanks for responding, but i think you are missing the important aspects of this game. The board is seperated into 8 regional areas similar to the game of Risk. This is based for the most part on geography and not politics.
Also some of the islands and a few borders are also changed for playability. For example Russia is a very hard country to divide into regions because it would take up too much of the map as a single country but has no regonal borders. Most likely out of the communist style thinking that everyone is part of the central government and they don’t want people to get regional identities. I included the names chechnya and georgia just because they are in the news, but had to make up the borders cause they needed to be the right size for the map.
But this game is a huge improvement over A&A for the following reasons:
People comment on the colors or names of the superpowers, but if you actually played the game, you would see how well it plays.
You guys should try playing the online version of it and then see what you think.
it does have modern weapons like cruise missiles, nuclear weapons, anthrax bombs, stealth planes and more. Check out the technology tree.
But one of the mian goals of this game was to have each player start out relatively equal. So the superpowers are intentially balanced and not meant to look like current affairs.
The country names are all modern so its a great geography lesson when you play it.
Well first issue, USA dont need nation specific pieces, since they joined the war only a few weeks befor it ended, and they even used British looking uniforms and helmets.
You are thinking of making a world war I game without USA included? That’s insane.
US declared war on 6 April 1917, and sent 4 million men into combat suffering 205,690 casualties before winning the war on 11 November, 1918
That’s 19 months at war. You should probably revisit your history books there kid.
I agree (to a degree) with those who don’t like the color schemes. I didn’t want exact copies of the axis & allies colors and instead with with the most contrasting colors possible. If I do another version of the game it will be with slightly different colored pieces.
As for the superpower nations you will probably notice the world has been fairly evenly broken into 8 regions. Built for maximum playability. Having India alone be one of the superpowers wouldn’t make for a very playable game.
Also, I didn’t do the Larry Harris map view for 2 reasons: 1) Didn’t want an exact replica of a&a board. And 2) The reason for the larry harris map is because the ocean battles are a big part of the game and pretty much no fighting at all happening in north or south america. In my version there is plenty of fighting that takes place in the americas so its better to not wrap the map there.
Brain Damaged - I would be happy to hear about your thoughts on this.
I am offering a sale on this new total world war board game that ends in a week. Only $25!
This game is similar to Axis & Allies but with new pieces, new rules, more technologies and diplomacy rules. The play is fantanstic. Any A&A fan should have this game.
Online version is available as well.

Anyone want to be part of the first ever online league for the axis and allies variant game called superpowers?
Games are played online. Season will be 12 weeks long plus play-offs. You will be emailed when its your turn to act. players do not have to be online at the same time. This is going to be great!
Anyone interested in being a part owner of a new board game company? I have produced a new board game that is basically a modern day axis & allies type game with serveral improvements and new pieces. Game is fully produced and in a few stores now.
Looking for people who are good with games to help run the business and promote the game, plus work out improvements for the next edition. Right now this is just a 1-man show, but i think this game has the potential to be even bigger than A&A.
The company is Superpower Games, LLC and the game is Superpowers. There is no cost in becoming an owner other than agreeing to help promote the game plus get 18 copies at the ultra low price of just $10/game to then resell at a profit for yourself.

You guys interested in playing an online modern version? Similar play style but more pieces and you just take one turn a day so you play the game over the course of a week or two.
Could use a couple good players to compete against. =)
I made some changes to the interface and the basic training sequence so if anyone tried playing this and got confused, give it another try.
The basic training takes about 15 minutes or so to play and then you can join up to 3 games and play against other players. Just take 1 turn a day and then wait for your turn to come around again. Its very fun.
Hey calmDragon =)
ok here’s a link to the rules:

The game play is amazing and the best feature is the diplomacy rules. You end up making a lot of deals with other players before the teams settle down.
Also playing online is more fun than A&A because you don’t have to sit and wait for the other players to take their turns. Simply take your turn and then check back later in the day or next day.
Hi I created a modern variant of axis and allies called Superpowers. I have a fully produced board game version and and online version. Both work great. this may be the next big board game out there!
Experiences A&A players needed to join in the fun. Game is fully functioning with all known bugs worked out.
Main differences between this game and a&a:
Give it a try and give feedback too!
hey would u guys be interested in trying out this new online A&A variation? I could really use some input from seasoned pros like you to help improve it. =)
Players needed to test out a new free online variation of A&A. It has several new pieces plus new rules and map is divided up differently.
Its turn based meaning you take your turn any time in the day and then others take their turns when they have time. game goes on over several days but its very fun.
Please give it a try and leave some feedback too on ways to improve it.
This is an entirely new game but the look and feel is very close to axis & allies. Modern day weapons and new pieces to add to the strategy. Plus has diplomacy rules so that teams are form through the course of play. Very fun and very exciting.
Check it out. Feedback welcome, plus offering the game at just $25 this month.

In addition I have a fully working online version that works great. Still working out a few bugs but for the most part is ready to go! Very fun and could use a few more people playing who have good ideas about this kind of game.
