    • RE: China and what should be done with it

      That’s also been my experience, avoid China go for India!

      @maverick_76:

      My only experience with China is AAP which does not have Russia involved so what I found is 99% of the time people avoided China. I’m not sure how this game is set up but my guess is that most games will consist of people circumventing China and transporting troops straight to South Asia. Unless China is a vital part of victory for Japan I don’t see it being a huge part of the partial game. Now the global game, that is a whole other animal….

      I vote Russia due to manpower and the harsh weather.

      HOLY COW!  Let me rephrase that, nice pictures!!!  Are the pieces from Axis and Allies minatures?

      Is the map on plexiglass?  I thought I saw the light from the camera on the map.  That is really nice.

      @Deaths:

      cannon fodder-  Look at page 7 of this thread, there is more then 1 pic  :evil:

      Does anyone know if there is a Axis and Allies Spring 1942 add on to Triple A?

    • RE: A non- political 9-11 question

      I was talking about me personally.  I would have difficulty in keeping track of everything.  I would need to setup the board on the side to see what was going on.  I’m not knocking it, I’m just saying it is very confusing for me to play it online.

      @gamerman01:

      @cannon:

      There’s a ton of people playing Axis and Allies Anniversary edition online, I see like 10-20 games going on now.  I don’t know how they do it but people are doing it.

      @idk_iam_swiss:

      Guys I was talking about the guy in the forum who doesnt play A&A at ALL! Of course you play the games face to face. Especially A&A 50, can you imagine trying THAT online? I wouldnt touch it. It would take out all the fun.

      I really don’t think you know what you’re saying.  I’ve played several games of AA50 online, seamlessly.  What’s different about AA50?  Online playing rocks!  Playing face to face, I have to get a friend over here (not easy) and play 5 hour marathons at a time, separated by weeks.  Online, you can make a 10-20 minute move for a country at your leisure.  There’s plenty of trash-talking if that’s what you like.  And no arguing about dice landing in the wrong place and stuff.  Don’t knock it 'til you’ve tried it, dudes.

    • RE: Nazi Germany VS The Soviet Union

      I watched part of a history channel, Battle of Stalingrad and they pointed out that the German troops were wearing summer uniform compared to the winter gear that the Russians had.  I wonder how many German troops were lost due to the weather.

      Nice picture, is that map a modified Axis and Allies Europe map?  Also what game were the pieces from?  I don’t recognize it as any Axis and Allies pieces.

    • RE: Convoy boxes

      At 6 ipc for a 2 attack (sneak attack), 1 defense but able to submerge at will?  I think it’s a good buy for a naval attack and cheap cannon fodder.

      I thought destroyers were the infantry of the sea?

      @idk_iam_swiss:

      Yeah…It was just an idea. I love axis and allies but I havent been able to figure out how to make submarines a viable buy. (which made me think of fog of war), Submarines arent a good purchase because everyone can see where they are. If they could be “hidden” and get a better bonus then the one they get now. That would be cool. but I cant think of any submarine ideas. OR any reason WHY I would buy subs…they are horrible at attack, and even WORSE with defense.

      @idk_iam_swiss:

      Why join an Axis and allies forum and NOT play the game? That makes no sense.

      I agree with both Jermofoot and Brain Damaged.  Face to face is more fun to play.  The dice rolls, the trash talk.  Also the online play is very confusing for me.  I may do but maybe in 4 years?

      Thank you LuckyDay!

      New rules, new complexity.

      @LuckyDay:

      if you move it to another territory with a major IC, I believe it will have the same production ability and saves the 30 ipcs…

      I’ll start working hard sir!!!

      Who’s frog.

      @Adlertag:

      @cannon:

      Adlertag,  I’ll try your Red October and/or the Persian Plunge.  When I win I’ll tell them it was your idea.  If I could, I would give you karma.  Isn’t it the thought that counts?

      Well, “thought’s” and “wish’es” dont put food on your table, now do it ? You are just a kid, right ? Ask your dad how he pays the bills. I guess it is by hard working. Now you start posting like 10 each day and you can start applauding me before Christmas. That is better than just “thought’s”.

      Oh noooo, that aint my idea, it was my buddy Frog that first come up with that strats, man

      Isn’t that kind of big?  Do you put the aa gun on top of it to indicate radar?

      Would it apply to sea zones only or both land & sea zones?

      Neat idea.

      @idk_iam_swiss:

      Any ideas for a “fog of war”? it would make naval combat more realistic.

      Couldn’t this be abused?  If I know the capital is going to fall, wouldn’t I buy a factory and place it somewhere?

      @Brain:

      It could be anywhere you still have a factory

      What about the Milton Bradley edition of Axis and Allies, doesn’t it have a white AA gun? You could use the gray AA gun as normal and the white ones as radar? Just a thought?

      @whitewolfmxc:

      Thanks mate XD but that game is way OOP , any alternative models we can buy separately ?
