2 Italian fighters from Germany to NWE to Sz14 on carrier
2 Italian fighters on carrier on Sz 14 to Caucasus

It doesn’t show infantry attacking on a 2 when paired with artillery, either.  It’s not incorrect - it’s a design choice.  There simply isn’t room on there for all of the combinations.

Dr. Shades is correct. I received mine yesterday. One of the bombers was broken and the battlestrip was creased. The letter essentially stated that 9 bombers are required for the game and the extra 3 are for your patience.

Well you do gotta know that stuff though. Like in the 1942 edition (and I’m sure earlier) artillary supports infantry but the strip doesn’t show that. I understand how that’d be useful but if you want one that shows that stuff I saw a really good 1 in one of these threads (maybe even this one) to print off

Great news everyone,

I was checking on the status of my damaged units (emailed and WotC told me on 12/31/09 that they will send my units) so I emailed back on the status of my units and WotC said it will be shipped with the new battlestrip, so I email back asking if the new battlestrip is ready and whether what I heard through the grapevine of 6 Japanese Tactical bomber is true and this is the email response I received.

Wow, that’s the best news I’ve heard in a long while.  I’ve sent WotC about a dozen emails and always got the “you got the right number of tac bombers” response.  Thank you! Krieghund!!!

TwistedAries, is there a template you are using?  I know someone that is really good with wood and I tried to describe a dice tower but didn’t do a good job, so no dice tower for Christmas.  Those are really nice!!!

According to the rulebook, sea zones are either friendly or hostile.

Friendly sea zones contain no surface warships belonging to a power with which you are at war.

Hostile sea zones contain surface warships belonging to a power with which you are at war (this does not include submarines and transports).

So it looks like as long as you are not at war with (insert country), it looks like your navy can pass through.

Sorry unless Krieghund or the Errata change this, this is what is in the rulebooks for now.

Just use RED bombers from the first Pacific as Tac bombers. The scale is right, and it makes distinguishing them in the field ALOT easier.  Helpful, considering they are a new unit, and to be effective require alot of movement Maximization.

As for Complex’s I was just going to use old ones. and paint some with RED paint, or put a RED chip under the Major complexes

you can also use 6 RED fgt’s in Japan from original pacific for Kamikazies.

NO cutting, and NO cost involved.  Unless you weren’t a REAL fan, and didn’t but the Pacific copy that had red pieces.

Does anyone know the unit count by country and unit?  I loved Anniversary when it listed the number of units by country.  All I have is 454 total but not how it is distributed by country.

I have found that I am always short a piece here and there or have damaged pieces.

Off topic but there’s a second print run?  When is this planned for?  Is this to keep the game available for the new Europe game?

Thanks, I was comparing it to the Axis and Allies 1942 rulebook which has shiny pages. And that was about 1/2 the price of this game.

Has anyone else noticed that the quality of the rulebook for Axis and Allies Pacific 1940 has gone down?

The rulebook feels like it’s printed on newsprint or some cheap paper.  My rulebook is a day old and it’s got folds and crinkles and bends.

When I open my games and the rulebook is the first thing I check before counting the pieces and I must say I’m disappointed in the rulebook.  I’ll print one out on color when the pdf is available.

Does anyone have a link to a pdf version of the rulebook?

First time ordering from BoardGame Reveloution but I ordered on 12/10/09 and it was shipped 12/15/09 and I received it on 12/17/09.  The price was right, it was cheaper but it went up a few dollars on 12/15/09 I noticed.
