So….
If the ukP land units claim the pro allies territory like Persia, the 2 ipc value goes towards… UK E cos its on the European side? The standing army would go towards UK P?

Okay,
Thanks all. It came up in a YGH Vid on his UK ( recent ) first move play and he got stumbled on the actual answer!
Thanks for the answers.
BH
Thanks Witt.
It came up during a strategy meeting our group had. I said yes of course you can, but then looked deeper into the situation and thought, there must be a consequences on a fall back using a surprise attack.
But good to know an answer.
BH
Hi there…
I was curious on this situation: Axis has London.
In Africa at this point an Italian units is in a UK territory ( in Eastern African side ). If troops from the UK Pacific comes across on transports and attacks that UK Territory belonging to the European UK side, and wins the territory, what happens next?
Does the UK Pacific just reclaims the territory and no IPC value to there UK P ipc income, or DOES the UK Pacific get the IPC income?
Would be great for an answer if anyone has one!
BH
Hey…
I may as well add a sub question here…
You use your surprise attack subs as part of the battle, and then after surprise continue using your remaining sea/air units in the battle.
Your attacker attacks and gets a few hits on you with no surprise sub attacks. Can you use a sub you used in your surprise attack as a HIT instead of removing one of your other sea/air units?
Just if the sub is in the surprise it is then removed from the battle zone. So can you use a sub as a hit?
Would be great to have an answer ( 2nd edition ).

Jwo,
Now there’s some quality painting and patients! It puts mine to shame. It must of taken you many weeks to do these. It would look wicked on the AnA board!
Well done,
BH
Thanks for the support!
Which nation next…well for the next snowy day! Once you start it’s like…why stop there right! I dunno… will be a while till I pick up a paint brush again. Our game is in process at the moment.
RKKA, will post a pic in a few weeks when I get back to the game table. It’s early days in our game so all pieces are almost all there.
BH
Hi there,
Over this winter I have been avoiding the bars and staying in painting some AnA units for the G40 game board. Here is a link to the video, but will try to upload some pictures too.
I did the Italian units, and created a UK Pacific units.
Enjoy
BH
Hiya Spitfire…
I just got the Roundels from them. I will be posting a vid when I get round to it on them. I painted the UK Pacific pieces in style too ( why I got the roundels ).
BH
Spitfire…
I have just got my Roundels from HBG. The international shipping a slightly hefty ( outside the states ), but you get 20 I think Roundels ( maybe 15 ).
The quality is excellent.
Hope that helped
BH
They are just brilliant. They look very neatly done and I am sure a lot of time was put in.
BH
YGH…
It will add the enthusiasm for sure to do more videos!
BH
Dafyd…
I am a Brit, from South West England, and why I asked straight away if you were a taff!
Umm shelving is actually in process, we have drawn a possible plan and we hope soon to assemble the add-on, get the wood cut to size and screw it in place. Will post soon pics of the process.
Not offended at all by getting any ideas for yourself. I hope at least the video is doing just that purpose.
BH.
Thanks Dafyd…
It’s the small things I notice about countries, so I had to ask…!
I have just finished giving the table a re varnish of 2 coats before we start up again for our new season. Our group plays in the winter months when it gets too cold to do anything else!
I have attached pictures of the table as it dries. The Plexiglas we took off but left the nails in.
Good that you are challenged to build your own table. If your committed, it’s fun an rewarding as myself and YGH know!
Laters, BH.

@Young:
Awesome video Bravehart, awesome table, thanks for the journey through every step… this video made me a little teary eyed with the music, the stills, and everybody at the end gaming together around your creation. All I can say is WOW! please fill your youtube channel with gaming videos with this fantastic table. BTW, how did you get your wife to pull the lumber cart at Home Depot? LOL!
Hey Mr YGH…
Thanks for the support. Had fun building and hope that new designers can take tips on how to do such a table for there own enjoyment.
Noticed that AnA.org shifted my post to this section of the forum, so thanks for putting it in the right slot!
BH…
Ohh,… yes… I had the credit card, she wanted to leave and get home…! It was my game player who was with me. Wife was at the LCBO ( Off Licence ).
HBG has roundel coasters for drinks that are about the size that you have drawn. I believe they have all of the nations involved. I’d love to see the nuetral powers coasters included. HBG includes them with an order that they ship out. Â
Dafyd…
Yes, I was thinking about the Neutral countries and thought Oh gosh, it would just add an extra project for me to do…!~! I have already ordered from HBG the Union Jack Roundels for the UK P player. It’s pretty pricy on the old shipping, but a fantastic site, along with FMG.
I gather your Welsh Dafyd?
BH
@CWO:
Great looking table and an original approach to its design. To quote what an officer says General Marcks in the movie The Longest Day: "Brilliant, Herr General. Unorthodox, but brilliant." Nice video too.
Regarding the hand-drawn turn-order cards, one option that you might consider would be to find images of the roundels online, blowing them up in size, printing them out in colour and gluing the printouts to squares of stiff cardboard of the same type you’re using for the hand-drawn ones. The concept of movable turn-order cards, by the way, is a great one.
CWO Marc,
Thanks for your advice and at the time I was bored and wanted to be creative with the order cards. Got the pens and those white boards from the Dollar Store a while ago, and thought I know what I can do with those!!
But I can add the blow up to the re vamp in the future…!
Thanks Dafyd,
The pexiglas was a pure fluke. My work was chucking it out and I though…hold on a minuet that size looks pretty damb close to the size of G40!
No cutting, it was spot on.
Hey…
I am happy to share with you all our Custom Built AnA Table ideal for Global 1940. It’s a step by step video on how we built it.
Our table we love and is much different to other out there, including Young Grasshopper’s. Anyway, enjoy and Build a table ppl, it take a bit of time and dosh…but once it’s there, set up, it’s so nice to just turn up and play~!~
You can pause the video if what you’re reading is too fast.

Yes Please Sir!
Think I will be in the area :-D
