    • RE: Clarity of a few things.

Has anyone understood why the casualties are allowed to shoot back is a rule when being bombarded with enemy Navy? All the effort having an all clear to Navy Bombard should be a devastating threat to the defender. In real life, you’d die instantly if a direct hit, and the attacker grateful for the Navy to help narrow down the enemy volume.

Braising a round of fire from the enemy including the dead makes the whole bombardment effort even i guess?

    • RE: Chips colors: OOB vs HBG

I am sure you have both had this thought, but if you do own previous games of AnA, you could take the chips from that game box. However, not every game version have the chips fit snugly ( what I came upon ). I think and pretty sure Young Grass Hopper has chips from HBG.

    • Off load transport units

This seams to me a stupid question to ask, but after searching for the answer, could not find so:

A single Transports in a SZ where opportunity lies with different territories to drop off the 2 units, can this be split, or do all units MUST go to one territory and deal with it?

      Ty, Bravehart.

      Hey Simon…

So I assume it’s the same rule if you capture an enemy territory that has an industry complex, you can’t use it till your next new turn.

    • RE: Upgraded complex

      @Strollmasta:

On this topic, you can build a minor complex on any territory you control at the start of your next turn as long as it is worth 2 or more IPC. However you cannot upgrade it to a major unless you controlled it from the start of the game and it is worth 3 or more IPC.

" The industrial complex to be upgraded must be located on an originally controlled (not captured) territory
that you have controlled since the beginning of your turn and that has an IPC value of 3 or higher."

If you take over normandy as america you can use that minor complex until paris is liberated, and then it belongs to France and you can’t use it as america anymore.

Remember you can not build any complexes on any islands, except Japan, UK, and Sydney.

    • Claiming Bases

      Hey there,

I have a situation where I have fort off a territory and won the land battle which has a navy base. My sea units are in a sea zone where this navy base is and did not take part in any battles. In my non combat move, can I use the navy base straight away?

      Cheers, Bravehart.

    • RE: Transport Rules

Think be a good place to add a Transport Rule Question… ( good thread here though ).

Rules say on pg *32 of Pacific 2nd Edition:
Carry Land Units: A transport can carry land units belonging to you or to friendly powers (provided both powers are at war).

So if you are not at war yet, can you transport your own units? I assume yes you can.

BTW…Hey Cmdr Jennifer, nice seeing you again!

    • RE: Sea zone hostile questions

Thanks P@nther for the re fresher answer!

I assume if your option is for an exit is better than to attack, get out fast!

In some cases, rare I know, your enemy may have you surrounded in adjacent Sea Zone’s, so you pick your best option.

    • AA Guns as a casualty

You happen to have 6 AA Guns and one tank in a territory, and is under attack by the other side with 4 tanks. The attacker rolls and 4 good hits.

AA Guns can be chosen as a casualty, does this mean that you can reserve your tank and remove 4 AA guns, leaving 2 AA Guns and your tank ready for a possible next round of battle?

    • RE: What changes to the G40 map would you like to see?

Well, where do you start YGH! But to be frank, anything that the board didn’t get done I have adjusted it for our game group, anything to make things more clear visible ( Convoy & Kamikaze zones for starters ). It takes a bit of a heave-ho but, makes the game more fun to be more creative to get it adjusted for your own group.

    • RE: Activating Strict Neutrals

      @knp7765:

I believe while they are still neutral, no air units may fly over them from either side.

Is this the correct answer from knp?!

    • Activating Strict Neutrals

      Hi there,

Activating a Strict Neutral is always in our games too ballsey to do, but I know it has been a major twist in a game for other players in there own groups, like doing the Spanish Beachhead.. It would be good to try one game to totally throw the other side of guard.

Taking Spanish Beachhead for this example. USA attacks Spain, making the territory American after a successful first attack win, so the other Strict become Pro Axis….except Mongolia.

So question is friends:  the territories that are now Pro Axis ( Turkey, Sweden etc ), can all air units fly over these territories immediately, OR is it in till they gradually get activated by either the Axis walking in/Allies attack them.

      Thanks,

      BH.
