@Chris_Henry Using colored chips for now for a number of things. But my long term plan is like yours…a bit at a time.

I bought a cheap Risk game with intent to put a quick coat or two of paint on those pieces. Got about 150 militia and 100 cavalry for around $20. Not sure if I’ll use the Risk cannons yet but??? It’s a hell of a lot cheaper than HBG chips or sculpts.

@Chris_Henry Yeah, its been a blast so far. Mainly trying to learn the mechanics of the game with terrain, RRs, blitzing, combat…it’s a lot different than A&A. Playing solo and doing every nation makes it difficult to think too many moves ahead at this point but this is how to learn.

@Chris_Henry It is. This is just my first test run playing this game and figured I’d let the Chinese beat up on each other for a few extra rounds before invading with Japan. CCP is close to evolving into a “major power”. I would assume that is somewhat rare with their limited statistical possibility of getting influence rolls.

@GeneralHandGrenade Thank you. That’s what I figured…just wanted to make sure. Brand new to this game (thanks to you and you videos) and doing my first test run.

If CCP owns and controls Yunnan through influence rolls prior to a Japanese DOW and attack into China, am I correct to assume that this negates any KMT abilities to use the Burma Rd for purchasing artillery and AA and any wartime bonus for Burma Rd being “open” after at war with Japan?

Cool, I will definitely keep that in mind. I probably couldn’t do anything this summer because I help watch my granddaughters a lot. I also have recently returned to playing the board versions I’ve been having a hell of a time trying to find people in this area that play these games (I have several editions).

Thank you for the invite. I will definitely keep that in mind although a bit of a long drive from the Toledo area.

I have had some of my own medical issued so I can relate to that concern.

I used to play Classic a lot. I’ve played Revised Ed a number of times, the old Europe and Pacific a few time too. I’ve played some of the old PC CD-ROM versions. I just got the newer Europe and Pacific 2nd Editions and plan on getting Anniversary soon.

I’m not sure my ADHD/Chemo brain could do the PBF or Email type of game. I’m really looking for some people to get together and play (even if its just a 1-on-1 game). I also am willing to come to others if it makes getting a game together easier.

I’ve played a little TripleA against the AI mostly to familiarize myself to the newer version (at least newer to me). I prefer in-person games myself too but have a hard time finding others to play. It’s too east to miss shit or overlook on a computer game but willing to give it a try sometime.

Looking to find some people in area to get some games played, (Any/All versions welcomed)
