@Boldfresh:
I’m not trying to push you to resign at all, was just asking because I think the fact that the allied stack in China slipped past the Axis stack, it is probably destined to liberate Moscow and effectively end the game.
I’m not sure it matters. I just have to chase you down again. Basically trading US reinforcements (at the Pac) for maybe UK if you come through Kar/Arch. I haven’t looked recently but Germany has an insane amount of units as does Italy. At some point there has to be a big battle, but I don’t think either one of us is going to engage that “big battle” until we have the odds. So it is going to continue to be a stack fest. I think I have the IPC lead (per turn), but its marginal, it might even be tied or you ahead. But its close enough where its going to take many many many more rds before one of us picks a battle. The biggest impediment to victory now, is not so much the capitals (or ipc count) as it is both of our large armies and navies. IMO, that’s what has to be destroyed and I don’t see either of us taking a shot at the others large army unless they have good odds. At this point I might take a shot if I had 50% odds, but generally on big battles I wait until I get 70%+ depending on importance of the battle.
It has been a fun game but I’m not sure I want to slog it out at this point.
Maybe we can revisit this as a Non-League game once we wrap up this year.
I appreciate the offer, but go ahead and feel free to post both games as victories.
