I was reluctant to get the planos because of space issue. I wanted something that fit in the box. I went ahead and bought them any way. Very happy i did. I got the ones with good latches and if the dividers are put in correctly (not upside down) the pieces stay in their compartments just fine.
They should all fit in a regular back pack. Duffle bag, gym bag or “husky” soft sided tool bag($20).

You win the game by capturing victory cities. These pieces represent the VCs and therefore depict a famous land mark of the specific VC.

Unless im totally misunderstanding you, you’ve got it all wrong.
The convoy zones are a way to attack enemy IPCs. At the end of a players turn, enemy ships in convoy zones roll to attack IPCs of bordering land.
You will earn IPCs for any and all territories you hold.

Im not a techy but most of it sounds good.
I can think of a few sites i prefer nonmobile because its easier to navigate.
Scrolling is great on threads with a few posts, but when going through 50 plus pages i prefer pages. I can pick up where i left of and know what page to find something again.

Unless you plan on printing the map any way or have a really cheap source on printing, you wont save money. The printed map will cost more then the game.

You have most of the pieces. You can down load the rules ror free. There are free map files. Costs some money to print.
Might b cheaper, better, faster to sell those copies and use proceeds to buy global.
Since those games are out of print, you might get good money on ebay. Just looked europe selling for $40-$65 used with shipping. Pac is $40-$55
Total$80-$120.
You should be able to find both global games at one place for $130-$150. New free shipping.

Unfortunately, no. If rus is not at war with ger or italy, rus can not have any land or air units in another players territory on euro map. Rus ships (including planes on aircraft carrier)  may share seazone with with anyplayer while neutral.

Version 2 says that in order to get any USSR NO, you have to be at war with Germany or Italy. Declaring war on Japan just allows non combat into China. Bob pointing out this is true for version 1.

You could also ncm into pac map allies…not just china
