What did you get? Where did you get them?
You mean value as in attack & defence?

The setting is Deserts 2018 Vegas competition. Theres 40 players, some new faces, old friends, and a few bitter rivalries. Its vegas, so ….hookers and drugs.
Maybe the hooker stole YGs piece set while he was sleeping. -

RE: Recommended alternative piece for Minor IC'sposted in Customizations
I never liked the cardboard chits but haven’t found a suitable affordable option til now. For $6 including s/h i got the ubuild pieces. It came with 40 gray minor ics and 40 green houses. The gray pieces have 2 slanted roofs and a small chimney and look great next to the old ics with 3 slanted roof and 2 smoke stacks. They are about the same size…12mm square vs 9mm x 17mm rectangle of old ics.

RE: Global 2nd edition Q+A ( AAG40.2)posted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
First off…damn there is a lot of redundant q & a in this thread. Can we clean up some? Just a thought.
China can noncom into UKs burma territory because china is @ war with japan and UK is @ war with germany.
If US & russia @ war with japan but not ger, us can non com in pac map of rus but not europe map. These seem contradictory.
If us @ war with japan and rus @ war with germany, can us non com every where in russia?
Thanx for the answers guys. I finally finished all 156 pages. -

RE: The Most Important Pieces To Customizeposted in Customizations
I’m right there with you. Looking at yellow green art and fighter from HBG for china but out of stock atm. Looking at HO scale men in white for neutral. Might go with hbg there as well. Toying with custom roundels for pro axis/allies territories. Example…germany attacks strick neutral and losses. Place x number of white infantry and my roundel that says “ALLIES” to denote it is now proallied

RE: Yes, but what about the original Axis and Allies?posted in Axis & Allies Classic
I would say one thread classic Ed and one classic 2nd ed, due to the different rule sets.

RE: Piece Storage and keeping games intactposted in Customizations
I prefer to keep my games separate. There a a couple of exceptions. I have 3 copies of classic 2nd ed that share a box. I threw out the worst board and one set of styrofoam unit trays. I combined my 1940 2nd ed pieces in country specific PLANO boxes. They are adjustable with 5 to 20 spots. One for my gamers paradise tokens one each for germany japan italy us uk russia anzac. China and france share a box. The shared pieces like facilities and chips (and soon to be plag poles, battle markers and damage chips) have their own boxes. My 2004 revised, 42 2nd ed and preordered anniversary 2nd ed are/ will be separate. If i get 41 it will be for pieces so those might go in with global and i plan on getting white inf for neutrals which will go in with chips and facilities.

RE: Additional Units & Markersposted in Customizations
If your only looking for new chips, i would look online for mini poker chips. They come in many colors and run about $3 for 50 pcs. You can buy 2 sets of white and 1 red and it wont matter if they match SOME versions of the games because thats still a lot of chips

RE: Axis and Allies expansion?posted in Customizations
I guess you and I have different opinions of stupid, because resurrecting ancient threads to answer multiple year old questions to people that haven’t been on the forum in the same amount of multiple years, seeming to expect an impact or an answer, and doing this in multiple threads on a subject that already has many recent posts saying the same thing… yes, this is kinda stupid to me, and yes, I will comment on such stupidity.
This thread was started 6 months ago and the original poster was last on 2 days ago. Hmmm, maybe your right wolfy, this thread was so obsolete.

RE: Global 2nd edition Q+A ( AAG40.2)posted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
I have a ton of little questoins that came up while playing (AAG40.2) and i doubt i can remember them all. Some aren’t 1940-related, but bear with me :-P
1. before USA and URSS declare war / are declared, can they activate pro-allies neutrals?
2. what if f.ex. URSS invades a neutral before being at war? If any allied power attacks a neutral minor power, all true-neutrals will become pro-axis, but if URSS (while neutral) invades a neutral minor power, what happens?
….
…
Someone posted no as answer to #1, but activating pro allied by an allie is a noncombat move done on the noncombat phase. Can someone please explain why it wouldnt be allowed when not at war if it isnt combat? -
RE: Global 2nd edition Q+A ( AAG40.2)posted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
Q1 European Rulebook p. 10 and 37: The US may declare war at the beginning of their Collect Income phase of the 3rd turn.
So can they then collect 25 IPCs bonus for their national objective on their 3rd turn, during that same collect income phase.Yes.
Well, I didn’t copy the conversation well.( It can be found on the first page of this thread). Krieg, you replied yes, but if the US declares war at beginning of collect income phase, wouldnt they b at war before they actually collect the income? -
