I think it’s natural to want to believe in God. Human beings want to think they came from something and/or that there is something higher than a mortal existence. Just like young children love to be with their parents, there’s something comforting about a higher power. Personally I’m like George Costanza. I believe in God for all the bad stuff.

RE: Neutral countries defend; not capitulate…
Sounds like a good idea to me. I don’t think any country in the world would just let an invader waltz thru their country on the way to fight an enemy. It’s more realistic to make the player fight a real combat and then pay 3 IPC (think war reparations or foreign aid) if they win.

RE: New Axis & Allies computer game
If RTS stands for Real-Time Strategy, I can’t see many A&A players buying it. I know I won’t.

RE: How did you first learn about A&A?
A friend tried to introduce me to it in high school, but I wasn’t interested at the time due to booze, girls, etc. About 2 years ago, another friend got me to play a game and now I’m hooked!

RE: Warhammer 40,000
It does take lots of practice before you can get the hang of painting miniatures. But it is very rewarding to see an entire finished army that you know you painted yourself. It is likely easier to find an opponent for Axis & Allies than 40k, but if you know either a group of people who play or a store nearby that you can play at, it can be very fun and enjoyable.
