    • RE: Oztea's 1939 Global Setup

@oztea we are trying this version new. I’ve done some playing over Triple A and it seems a lot of fun.

Something’s I did have questions about.

If France pulls out of Paris turn 1 into Normandy it becomes a power struggle for germany just curious if you knew anything for this? Was is pulling german troops back to western Germany?

Also can the Germans take the Baltic states turn 1 without issue. Because it could cause problems with the Germans easily blitzing Novgorod.

      Any ideas and tips?

@SuperbattleshipYamato I thought you could? Where in the rules does it say that? In triple A you can

    • RE: Global 39 Blackychan (axis) vs captain walker

@captainwalker “Italy, while not at war may not move naval units out of the Mediterranean. The may declare war at any time, however unless Paris has already been captured by Germany their combat moves may not include attacks on any game space occupied by French or British units on the turn they declare war.”

The turn they declare war they cannot attack a spot that has troops in it until France has in fallen on the turn they declare war. You declared war using Britain on the turn before Italy could get a chance to go.

@oztea Thank you for letting us know, me and my group have been religiously playing your version of axis and allies. I play with some people on Tripple A as well.

I post in the facebook group chat of the 1939 games as well :)

@oztea If the allies attack the Dutch factions do all the strict neutrals become pro axis? I would assume so correct?

@captainwalker Anzac can’t non combat into Anzac since they are independent now and separate like a strict neutral. Play them like they are Mongolia.

Russia declares at its 3rd turn.

@captainwalker Yes, if Germany attacks Holland, the Money Islands become pro-Allies. The opening round for Germany is the most important, as you can take every territory adjacent to Russia, still get your bonuses, and wipe out France. Then you can attack Russia and significantly weaken it by turn 4.

I have found that attacking the Dutch is largely useless for the Axis. Ozeta commonly positions them as a threatening point for Sea Lion, but you can execute Sea Lion on turn two if you play Germany’s cards right, without having to worry about eliminating the Dutch. However, if the Dutch are not dealt with properly, the Allies can simply declare war on them and go for the Money Islands anyway, at very little cost to themselves and with far more negative impact on the Axis.

If you want to play a game on Triple A we can
