      yeah i agree your plan has some built in flexibility.  carrier + tran build in sz 61 is perfectly safe once you’ve taken out the UK ships.

      On the other hand, the UK factory is basically gonna be in great shape given that carrier build and no IC’s.  Correct response of US hitting the atlantic hard and India holding up japan for a long time should make for a pretty easy allies win.  I really don’t think spending $16 on a carrier and getting only 1 transport to support additional land operations on R1 before the US has played its hand is a serious option as japan.  You may not enjoy protecting an IC in kwangtung but it’s far easier than protecting that one transport you built.

      Yeah that India paper needs an edit.  It’s like 5 years old no?

      I don’t consider India the optimal Allied strategy, but I’ve been beaten by it enough times to realize it is a workable strategy.

      @bb82:

      I think it’s:
      1)Yes
      2)No
      3)No
      4)Yes

      You’re right, whether using the box rules or LHTR.  Taking a power’s IPCs by taking their capital is not income, so you can collect it even if your capital is held by the enemy.

      @bb82:

      1:

      6 Russians @ Bury
      UK bomber @ Nov
      UK destroyer and carrier killes Japan tranny
      UK uses one tranny load each, to take New Guinea and Borneo
      UK sub survives, Japan sub dead.
      UK puts fighter with Pearl fleet.

      Maybe if SFE and Yakut are both empty, use an amphibious tank to take both (you can do this right?).  If there’s one infantry in Yakut and everything’s empty behind you can try this too.  But maybe it’s more useful for the sea battles.

      Since GB is committing so many resources to the Pacific, Germany might be able to take the Atlantic.  It’s interesting that GB sent the Carrier to help knock out the Transport.  I prefer to send mine to Madagascar.

      The Axis generally fights like a sword and shield, with Japan usually being the sword, and Germany the shield.  In this case it’s reversed, so Germany needs to get aggressive.  Some of the pressure’s been taken off him.  However it’s been placed on Japan.  To fight defensively Japan needs to go for naval superiority units.  Kill the enemy ships! There are targets galore!

      HOW COME THE MESSAGE BOX FREAKS OUT WHEN I TRY TO MAKE THIS POST LONGER!!!  :x :x :x

      Just wanted to mention another place to play online, which probably won’t be going AA50 anytime soon (so if you want a place to play Revised for a while, it’d fit the bill): the IAAPA, which can be found at axisandallies.net
      This is one of the oldest A&A clubs around, and these folks are so old school that most of the gaming there is still 2nd edition!  That’s right, Revised is cutting edge at the IAAPA.  However, don’t be too quick to dismiss them, they have some very good players including some very good Revised players.  I’ve played in a number of their Revised tournaments (they have three per year) and have never made it to the finals.
