you may not need that form if you are using abattlemap. the list units option under the view tab gives you a written record of the board as it was saved.

Frimmel is correct. Krieghund answered a similar question for me recently. It is 4 threads below this.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I like all of your suggestions… +1 to you. (just broke my cherry with the karma option)

Nice analogy. As for the victory conditions I like the idea of taking the base card. If memory serves me correctly, Japans tenure in the Solomons ended with the reduction of Rabaul.

In the navy?????posted in Axis & Allies Guadalcanal
I’ve played several games of Guadalcanal now and there has never been a big naval battle. It seems that both fleets are content to stay in their end of the slot and wait for a turn where they can build one last airfield and possibly damage the enemy’s to steal a win. Are there any players who have the nads to bring their fleets out to force a decisive confrontation?
Secondly, does anyone have good ideas for alternate victory conditions other than extending the game to 30 vp?

Why not? Is there that much difference between theatre and global?
Actually, it is a level of complexity thing. AA50 is still a basic enough game that the escorting of bombers and defending interceptors is outside of its simple structure.
I’m not quite following you here…… does this mean AAP and AAE are more complex than AA50 because of of convoy routes/zones and aircraft/naval bases? I would think each game in the series should build on the previous edition.

This topic has been moved to the Moderator ForumIs this like a Bizzarro World for wayward threads because I found this in AA 1942 Ed. ???
Or is this the PG-13 forum as some of the posts have been removed?

RE: Escort serviceposted in Axis & Allies Spring 1942 Edition
sorry to digress but I find it funny/ironic that the title to my thread requires censoring/editing when there are constant advertisements on the right hand side of this website for russian beauties and Tatiana from Minsk is only a phone call away!!!

Didnt mean to stir up a hornets nest here. I just thought I was asking an obvious and simple question.

@Craig:
It doesn’t fit the level of the game, unlike the level of A&A Europe and Pacific.

RE: Splitting Hairs???posted in Axis & Allies Anniversary Edition
even if the landing phase wasn’t #6, how much of a stretch is it really for the planes to land on land, fuel up and move to the CV when it’s constructed. Turns cover the space of more than 1 day in the game, it’s hardly inconceivable.
as for Indonesia… i think it would be that they produced more materials than did Australia at that point in time, hence the greater value. Tis why Japan didn’t bypass Indo to take Aus in history…
You shouldnt hose on my Aussie tennis playing brethren……John Newcombe may unleash his Fanatics after you.

#1 If they are next to an island or country that belongs to you they can land.
2nd roll for subs are still first-strike.
#2 It will be japanese.
#3 Yes. That is why you can “clear” a territory by blitzing, so you can paradrop in the next
country.
#4 No. Same territory to begin with.I believe Bjergmose is correct on all counts

Through experience I’ve noticed most people operate on a 3rd grade level so choosing looks will still leave you ahead of game.

I would still like to know if this “optional rule” is being used in most of the games played on this forum
