I saw one russian plane mentioned. While this is a little off topic how do you think russian planes matched up with their wwII conterparts? As far as favorite aircraft probably B-17 from watching all those 12o’clock high shows.

politics on both sides in the west and everywhere else for that matter. If the Fed’s would have concentrated instead of having basically 3 seperate armies there would have been little the south could have done to stop them.

RE: Is Global really more than just Europe and Pacifc played simulposted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
Yea you guys shouldn’t be quitting on rd 3. The game should just be getting started. You could do europe or pac 40 if you want a shorter game or AA50. Like others have said the real challenge is the US . If you want to put pressure on the russians with japan your best bet is to send bombers.
It’s worth the time investment. Playing on triple A speeds things considerably. If it’s ftf one should plan on a three day weekend. -

Eqqman hello and welcome! You’re gonna like it here. I strongly suggest the triple a format. While it might seem nothing has changed a true german blitzkrieg and a not so surprise japan attack will eventually change your mind. I believe the fanatics are fine tuning the bid program as I type:)

I like il 's quote “once russia was defeated” makes it sound so easy
I would declare il a war criminal and eradicate his dna from the planet

those 300,000 troops should have went with Rommel when he first got there
otherwise I agree they should have not been sent at all

RE: A Question About Pickett's Chargeposted in World War II History
as gargantua said a large advantage in manpower is the deciding factor for it to be considered a human wave attack
some examples would be the iranians attacking the iraqis in the 80’s and the chinese attacking the marines in korea
although all suffered huge losses and defeat(at least tactically) the confederates didn’t have a huge manpower advantagejust speculation on my part, but I wonder if this tactic is still being used today in parts of africa on a smaller acale
the sudan comes to mind -

“I’m not going out there… with those things running around… you can count me out”
“… Yea, bishop should go, good idea!”
“That’s it man, game over man, game over!”
F!!!"IN A!

the whole thing about global is to give you options that weren’t taken in the real war
one of the japanese admirals proposed this strategyshould be interesting to game out:)

@Cow:
Sometimes I wonder what this game would be like with -10 usa and 2 russian inf spawning every round.
interesting idea
got me to thinking
japan and russia can’t attack each other until rd8?
would mirror the real war
maybe have to keep minimum 6 inf east of yakutat till rd8? -

I wonder how Douglas MacArthur would have phrased his answer if anyone had asked him to identify the greatest American general of all time.
