So you don’t use any of the other NO’s from the balance mod or the SBR rule change or any other rule change for that matter in regards to the balance mod? Tank/fighter in Soviet Union and the NO for taking the caucasus, leningrad, stalingrad and moscow go from 5 to 3.
If this is true and really balances the game then a mod should be put forward on AAA I feel. Small changes like these drastically fixed 1942.2 with LH’s tournament rules.

If would be nice to have some more feedback and testing done on this.

it would be pretty easy to do. I can add that option to the house rules mod if you want. Be doing an update soon anyway.

There hasn’t been a change. In fact, the rule was mentioned in the 1991 rules clarification document. You must have been playing it wrong!

Well, that explains it. I wasn’t playing PBEM 2nd edition until the early 2000’s – no one would play with me irl in 1984… :(

@Wittmann yea corps sounds about right. Manstein was a hard hitter too. Idk if he could have done better than Rommel in africa. idk if Rommel gets Sevastopol or not.

He was definitely a hard charger though, so maybe. Idk I could see both doing better or worse actually. Possibly not much difference either.

Wow i had not heard that. Wonder how the war would’ve changed with Manstein in Africa ? I assume Rommel would probably be a divisional commander in the east then ?

@Simon98v yea depends on the game and the TTy. Sometimes, as the Martian alludes to, it’s good to counterAttack, just so your opponent has to deal with it.

Usually I’d bring 3 to 1 inf with a plane if I really wanted it. I’m not a real good player tho, so… :)

yea you can. Probably a good idea too, if your trprts don’t have a lot of naval support. Although you may want to save your planes (Russians), or some of them, to use against the land invasion.

So you’d want to send enough planes to force russian planes to stay and fight the land battle but not so many you can’t win. Well…you get the idea :)

Probably did elsewhere in the battle that would have helped them indirectly I would think.
