      There is absolutely no way I’m going to compare you favorably to Galileo. You are less than visionary.

      And I didn’t call you stupid, just ignorant. You are smart enough to figure out where your argument is going wrong and ultimately fix it. I just don’t believe you will attempt to lift the veil of ignorance about this subject. Keep stereotyping people. You’re only betraying your own gender by doing so. I’m just not interested in this anymore.

      Who dominates baseball, hockey, and the penultimate world sport: soccer?

      @Cmdr:

      Who dominates medical research?

      Don’t rightly know. Pfizer? Merck? The Republic of Congo?

      @Cmdr:

      Who dominates machine assembly?

      Who cares? What does it have to do with genetic intelligence or physical stereotypes?

      @Cmdr:

      And,for the record, for the past 20 years women have been pressured to get into math and science in this country.  Can’t speak for other nations that may or may not be doing it, but in America they have been getting mega pressure because there are so few of us in those fields.

      So you are freely admitting that in the past women have been discouraged from entering those fields and only recently have they been strongly encouraged to bulk up their numbers. Kinda proves my point that since the numbers of women in the field were limited so is your comparison data. Score 1 point for me. Thanks.

      @Cmdr:

      There are so few of us in those fields because we have to work harder to understand the concept then men of equal training and backgrounds.

      Peddle that gender inferiority somewhere else. And quit insulting female Mathmaticians and scientists. Women have just as much capacity to understand those concepts as men. There are so few of you because of socially imposed gender roles and disinterest in the fields not because of intellectual deficiencies.

      @Cmdr:

      Just like there are fewer women stronger then men there there are men stronger then women.

      Comparing intellectual differences to physical differences is apples to oranges. Cut it out. It’s a weak argument.

      Read the follow up. Moveon made a surprise.

      And what makes you think that Google can’t do this?  It was in their policy.  It was clear.

      I think there’s software that lets you run windows apps on Macs, but I forget the name of it.

      But I’d rather use TripleA on a Mac (or on anything).

      Sweet!

      http://boards.avalonhill.com/archive/index.php/t-1689.html

      its all set up……i guess it was good enough for them to go and make the map on Abattlemap like they said. i’d like to give it a try.  but i think we need one more player to be america

      http://boards.avalonhill.com/showthread.php?t=1689

      this goes into the rules for america and how they are influenced.

      and the bolsheviks should also be played by the american player or another player, it gets pretty complicated.

      there is a chart listing somewhere…i’ll find it after my league move and a sandwich.

      also, why would he send text messages?  why not call and speak?  perhaps b/c he was already dead, and some people wanted to tie up some loose ends, so they text message.

      I don’t get the pay per views but I do find myself watching the fights if I’m not watching a movie or doing something on the computer.

      so anyone have any favorites?  fighters they hate on there?    what styles do you think are the best?  like the militich fighting system, or kickboxing, judo, jujitsu, brazilian jujitsu, striking……?

      No real favorites. I usually get a bit bored with the posturing and talk. I want to hate Tito Ortiz for being a punk with Shamrock but I can’t seem to bring myself to because Ortiz backed up what came out of his mouth.

      I don’t think any style has an edge except for hitting hard and being fast and maybe it is just TV but these guys don’t look that fast to me. They are way faster than I am as I’m way out of shape and never was in much to be sure but it just seems to me that they should be faster. I suppose it is just relative–both guys are pretty fast distorting it to someone who isn’t.

      one only needs a small thing/advance to multiply all of the others.
      It’s like using an abacus to design a calculator to help form a rudamentary computer, then using that computer to develop a better computer etc.
      One tiny change/mutation in the DNA very early on is considered to have a multiplative/exponential effect on the rest of the branches on that tree.

      For my part, I didn’t like shoveling snow last week when it was -45 (not exaggerating) with the windchill. Hokey Frick! We’re buried in the white stuff too, the snow pile along my street is about 4 feet deep. But at least it hasn’t been windy, so not much drifting.

      @ncscswitch:

      Re-check for his actual name… Yeshuah, specifically Yeshuah of Nazareth.

      Damn, the Pagan has to come in again to help folks find support for certain facts about Christianity…

      Only because I’ve already given an effort to convert the sinners.  Now i don’t care if you wallow in sin and refuse to acknowledge the facts of life and the after life.  I put in an effort, now I can sit back and watch.  There’s billions of other people on the planet I can spend my efforts on.
