For Face to Face games, AA50 maybe be the better choice (less time to finish a game).
But for the cyberworld-
AAG40![

In the game with the Plexiglas, it looks like Germany took UK.
In AAP40, placing a Naval Base at Alaska would effect 2 seazones.
I think the way it is will work fine for AAE40/AAG40.
Why yes, it would.
The same applies to:
-Germany SZ 113/114
-Gibraltar SZ 91/92
-Novgorod SZ 115/127
-Normandy SZ 105/110
-Egypt SZ 81/98
Correct.
In the global, if/when France gets it’s capital back; then the IC would belong to France.
Global National Objectives please.
Proaxis: Bulgaria Finland and Iraq
Proallies? Brasil?
How do you see if it is a pro axis or pro allies territory? Is the color, the borders or what?
By reading the words on the territory on the high res map.
Copy/paste/zoom in.
wait so you don’t have to attack the convoy and still be in that sea Zone?
AAP40 rulebook> Page 20 >Conduct Convoy Disruptions:
“The economy of many nations is often based on moving tons of resources across vast spans
of ocean. In war time, and especially during World War II, this movement was vital. Cargo
ships (not to be confused with the game’s transport ships, which carry military units) often formed convoys
for mutual support and protection. These convoys are subject to attack by enemy warships.”
Notice the “Cargo ships (not to be confused with the game’s transport ships, which carry military units)” part, that is why the sea zone may be empty to cause IPC loss.
Sounds like Larry has a light case of OCD, LOL. Man this is awesome, everything sounds so cool. But yeah tell us more about the NOs, from what it sounds like the axis can really close the income gap on the allies with these things.
Not OCD, but a photo opp. Maybe many cameras from all over the country taking pics.
Larry is also very particular about how the peices on the board are set up. He spent about a half hour reorganizing how all the peices were stacked. Everything is stacked except navies which arnt. everything faces towards the enemy and aircraft carries are paired toghether to support two aircraft with one chip under each.
I suppose now is the launch of the game with many photos being taken of the global game.
Units need to be orderly on the map.
Which would prevent Italy from camping their fleet by Egypt, thus changing many things. (India, middle east, etc.)
… which means alot of interceptors …
Good point! That would be a big deterrent to try to SBR the airbase.
MapView also helps to “see” the game progress. Combat moves, combat resolved, noncombat, unit placement if you wish.
With ABattleMap, all you see is the end result of each turn.
Saldly, no one has made any new maps for MapView.
I am glad to see the seazone and territory borders are purposely NOT on the map edges.
There may be 4inf in West India.
UK or ANZAC might be able to SBR an Airbase ahead of the US turn to prevent scrambling. (Assuming one of them saved IPC for the Bomber, purchase ahead of time, AND it was close enough).
Well thought out points to ponder, Purplebaron. Nice article.
Close-up photos of the map so that the ABattleMap project can move forward!
