Hi, still strugling with rules on submarines in A&A 1942 2nd edition. Though most is clear, I’m still wondering how to deal with the following situation: what if just one submarine attacks a single cruiser (only defending unit in a seazone). If the sub scores a hit during the surprise strike it’s clear to me the cruiser is not allowed to return fire and removed from the game, but what in case the sub doesn’t score a hit? It’s not clear to me if the sub just can continue performing surprise strikes in the same turn (combad round) till a hit. In case, the cruiser is defenseless in each round and will be destroyed anyhow, or am I wrong here?
