      Special Rules:  NOs yes tech no, faq-rules no
      Victor:  agreed draw
      Game Length: 8 hours 10+ rounds
      Bias: 3 ppl 10+ games AA50 41
      Description:  usa went africa while uk was bleeding of german troops. russian never real danger. japan dice  first 2 turns real bad… lost 6 planes, couldnt take phillipines  :x. this lost him 2 turns to get to africa basically. but allied player was very worried about his fleet and axis gained 2 turns  in exchange for 2 unsinkable uk/us fleets by air…

      by the time jap fleet reached med ( just in time to stop us taking italy) uk/us troops landed nwe, creating a stalemate in westeurope. if russia could have pushed west, allied victory would have been sure, but  a combined  ger/jap tank force in and around caucasus held a stalemate there too.

      since allied were not strong enough to take out germany a long fight for africa  was ahead.

      Observations/Recommendations:  in the long run japan probably would have got too strong.
      axis got a bit lucky with allied logistics. definatly gained  time here. considering the aweful dice j1/j2 it evens out.

      at 3 in the morning we ended it.

      hm i was talking about an italian complex in egypt, bought on IT2 ;)  here is what happend.

      in a KIF game, G1 took egypt. so yes axis did get italy its 2nd NO and 20+ IPC for one or two rounds but it dindt help. IT was SBRed so heavily there was no point in repairing factory damage. he was basically down to purtchasing 2-3 inf a turn… and with italian navy sunk at round 4 or 5 only a defesive tool for germany ( africa retaken by allies at that point.)

      so we have come to the conclusion that italy really needs an IC in egypt to be of any help to germany.  by the time allies have taken egypt and the IC , japan will be there to enter land war against US in africa. an IC really commits one of UK/US to really fight for africa or UK  goes under 20 IPC… this gains time for japan to reach the european theatre, this takes pressure of germany.

      if G1 takes egypt, italy can only shuffle about 6 -10 units over to africa before his navy is sunk. plus he cant really produce in italy cuz he needs to repair factory damage.

      no. the aa gun may only move during non-combat. unless it is cargo on a transport (loaded prior turn). may only be unloaded during non combat…

      i would always leave nwe empty, and france fortiefied. with NOs france is the biggest territory on the map. AA gun helps. luftwaffe essential :)

      anyway i think its just natrual to let german player play the italians in any setup except 6 players. strategies have to be coordinated anyway so i cant see how giving them to japan will make a diffrence.

      thats a very risky attack. (87% attacker looses all its unis) normally there would be

      2CV 3ftr vs 3 ftr 1 bomb.

      also the US will loose the carrier too next round…

      if japan looses 2 fighters round 1, you can always put the CVs at okinawa

      I’ll have to look again but it seems if Japan wants to take India it can BUT they have to commit everything on turn 1 to set it up turn 2 don’t they? If they are all out for India they have to forget about other targets. I think it depends on Japans first turn whether or not it is wise to build an IC in India.

      I have not played as Japan yet but it seems Australia is a better and easier target on turn 2. It is setup by the turn 1 attacks on Borneo and new Guinea.

      funny you say that cuz i have found a set up J1 for india (even if russia sends troops) which involves burma (ofcourse) east indies, new guiniea, borneo kwangtung for 2nd NO.

      it doesnt hit phillipines J1 (the fleet is sunk of course) and it doesnt hit … the Flying tigers. :mrgreen:
      once british players sees this, it would be best to move his forces out to aid  china/ russia, which allows you to take australia and india, phillipines J2 ^^
