      i like it that way :D

      but yeah you have a point about the markers getting lost. but

      a) if you dont use the big icons, at least i myself cant see what unit is symbolized.
      b) some seazones get very crowded

      i like them because they allow u to move fleets  with one click. thats why i made them and would like to have them.

      this is minor finetunig and of course taste is diffrent :) good !

      as for the colors: if you make them darker, you lack contrast, if you make them lighter u have some penetrative glow. both isnt an option for me :) i had the italians light grey, and liked that better too, i just made them blue too see if i like it :) i do, but grey was cooler

      philippines isnt in range for j2 attack anyway, you got 4 inf at borneo, sumatra,  and 5inf, art in (burma  against 1 inf)…

      it does look easier sending everything u have first in the med, then at france / italy.

      but can us sink the italian fleet and close the suez quickly enough? jap fleet will!! be in the med by turn 4! the idea of 2 BB 3 CA 3 loaded AC  in the med plus jap ICs in India , FIC, possibly burma or eastindies scares me. why? UK income will be at 12 + whats left of africa which wont be much with japan in the med. so you are basically setting up a huge 1-2 punch ( france/ germany)?. this should get playtested :D.

      dont get me wrong. i think going either way with US is an option.

      how do you respond as japan when you see US1 go pacifc?

      depends on J1 really. but its not a big deal if japan has it a few rounds before u take it back since its only 2 ipc .u cant really prevent japan from taking india (the NO). lateron carolines is a better bomber base

      gib takes commenwealth NO yes. luckily india isnt included, else that NO would be worthless.

      u absolutley must fight in africa with italy. sending them to russia for shore shots is peanuts. they are not fighting for IPCs. each round  italy gets 20ish IPC  thats 5 inf / arm each round , with SBR 3 -5 inf. without africa, italy is almost at chineese production level. if italy falls and russia isnt in danger, i dare say the game is lost.

      no its very possible. u can send 9inf(- G1 losses BST), 2 art, 6 arm + planes at KAR at G2. russia cant defend it without UK help ( planes). but he can deadzone it.  cashing out max the first couple rounds is essential for germany in KGF

      this game is about balance. some ppl think its decided by the combat/ dice. but really your buys/NCM  decide this game, so buying all fighters for uk/us is just like thrwoing everything u have at japan. not balanced, hence u loose.  ftrs are strong and good. but they are just like any other unit a piece of the whole puzzle. leaving out one piece wont ruin it, leaving out all others pieces  for one will.

      well, if italy is attacking russia for shoere shots, they will soon be the “axis china” , producing 1- 3 inf per turn. the games where i had italy, there was not one single round ( except first) where he was not SBRed. so once italy falls, better make sure russia is down next round or germany is doomed.

      u dont need to kill jap fleet, you just need to force him to move his fleet back to japan seazone ( to protect his new builds/ protect his main fleet) , then u can retake saome of the islands.

      its all about controlling the center in pazifc. ( carolines, wake, philippines, okinawa).

      moreover. if you put all your effort on killing jap fleet, you win the war at sea, but loose it on land. so u got to take away jap money in pazifk and give the brits some ( SOL 5 ipc, AUS 7 ipc ( if brits control med). harder targets are borneo, sumatra. (also good for JAP NO)

      also with large fleets since a lot of subs are prolly involed, youll get trading battles to prevent attacking, since however attacks is at an advantage (since both sides prolly have some bombers)
      so u put an DD between the fleets. if he clears it with a sub + planes, he isnt preventing your movement , so he needs to send an DD too.

      set up sbr japan? u need lots of ships to do that. in fact, ud probably be investing 6 full turns naval warships only just to capture those islands…

      moreover by turn 4, unless some crazy russians march persia… japan has 3 factories on eurasia so sbr all u want…
