      imho if japan hits india j2 ,  he can easily set up a southern front against russia. much faster from here, than through china or up north :D much faster than wus attack. can pop out 5 units each turn at burma/india at j4. he doesnt need to defend theeseIC’s against chinese cannonfodder so 25 ipc each round go rolling to caucasus from then on, leaving japan enough for pacific/china

      how fast can uk/us set up serious invasion of france/ italy ?

      italy will liberate it. italy can send 1 inf to morocco before us moves.

      if he send 1atr 1 inf shore bombardement and what? he wants to kill / lone german tran sz5.
      he wants to kill sz 6 DD with a possible sub left but he has no destroyers.

      id welcome dday UK1 here :)

      heres my current favourite.
      buy 1 bomb, 5inf 1 art

      sz5 DD sub > sz6 DD
      sz7 sub + bomber > sz9 DD tran         land morocco
      sz7 sub +2ftr nor/NWE > sz12 CA DD  land morocco

      5inf 2 art 2 tanks > baltic
      1inf  1art  4 tanks > east poland
      2inf 2 ftr > ukraine, land bulgaria

      2 inf  norway > fin
      arm,inf france libya
      4 inf left in france

      assume russia buy 6 arm or something ( at least2)
      then have in karelia  9 inf 1 atr 3 arm max. mot enough to stop german without 2 uk ftr.
      even then, if i feel like it i can send 2 ftr from bulgaria 1 bomb from germany

      anyway. now uk buys 3 bombers to sink italians uk2.

      option 1  move 2 inf to egypt.
      then italy takes transjordan
      G2 strike egypt now with

      4 inf 1 atr 1 arm 1 ftr
      vs
      4 inf  1 atr  2 arm r + as much air as u want

      option 2

      leave TJ/egypt as it is, then IT1 attack egypt as preparative attack to let the germans take out the rest .

      or attack t-j in hopes of suriving with one land unit there. i prefer hit egypt.

      then, yes italian navy down uk 2 (but can only attack with 4 bombers as  egypt is down  G2 and must land in TJ.

      exchange + egypt taken

      option 3: move out of  egypt/ move bombers to caucasus( he cant SBR and move them there :) wastes a turn of hitting with four 4´s  :) - 2 extra turns of russian NO. still egypt taken.

      and still no navy. only the BB. germany has 3 bomb 4 ftr in the air at G3 … and they have been fighting every round :)

      so my answer is G1 no. IT1 yes unless TJ emptied by UK.

      up to you to find the flaws in this plan  :-)

      Yeah, poor Allied play.

      Generally I invest in an Aircraft carrier and some support ships (1-2 Cruisers, 1 Transport) and land fighters at the end of noncombat.  This is 1941, so I expect to at least get the Destroy + Transport (from Canada) and possibly the Battleship + Transport, depending on if Germany takes Egypt G1.

      What are your typical buys?

      if i were germany, id clear sz 6,9,12. and hit egypt anyway^^

      that leaves britain with BB/tran and possibly 1-2 german subs around an no destroyers to hit em ;)

      if i were to face this as the british player, id buy AC/cruiser/DD + DD or transport and invade norway on the spot from sz6 ^^

      btw i think hitting the BB is a mistake :)

      when u use NO´s do you hand the extra IPCs out at the start of the game (eg G1 has 36 to spend, US1 has 55 in ´41) or do you start handing them out after a player finished his first turn?

      Also, I’ve been thinking: Do you guys prefer a specific way of organizing the After Action Reports? 
      I’m fine collecting them in the original post for now, but if it grows to be too big, people will have to scroll down a lot to get to the newer reviews they want to read.

      Or would you rather have one Review per post?  That way the most current reviews are easiest to access.  This does have the downside of not being sorted based on 1941 or 1942 scenarios.

      maybe its time to split the reports into two seperate 41/42 threads?

      Hi. i´m not Italian but German. I really dont mind which Power i take, but most of the times we have a group of 3, so one takes Japan, the other Ger/Ita and the third the Allies fpr obvious reasons.

      I think Italy plays i nice role in AA50, basically giving the German player the Chance to react to Britisch plans.

      ps. I remember a Mussolini speech, where he was laughing at that “silly, copied, fake fascism”  north of the Alps. After a 5 hourr miltary parde in Berlin he never made such comments again :D

      Date:  When you played it.

      Special Rules:  NO yes, Tech no

      Victor:  Axis. Germany took Moscow

      Game Length:  6 Hours

      Bias: 
      3players all new to AA. One very very skilled risk player, only to be beaten by bad dice. Yet all 3 with good tactical and strategic planning due to a LOT of experience in other games ( Risk, Shogun, Chess, Go(im 1dan :evil: :roll:) So pls dont take this as bragging, im just trying to point out that we are Newbs to this particualar game, yet we learn quick. It was our 3rd game.

      Description:
      G1 hit BB / kareilia / baltic / east poland / gibraltar . bad dice kareilia/ had to retreat in order not to loose entire airforce. i played germany. i decided to hit kareilia because if you play germany slowly progressively forcing russia on the defence step by step, UK/US gain time allowing them to be more flexible in there strat. if you take kareilia g1,  even if russia takes it back, you got it secure G2. This of course leaves open a southern flank in bulgaria, but i figurend russia cant do much about it. R1 defensive now of course, gaining more time. J1 maximum force. from 17 to 30 +10 ipc. BB sunk. UK1 went bombing strat europe, india ic against japan. failed to use shipping effectivly. later on  germany took ship by ship with airraids. ( loosing very little). (same in indian ocean. UK2 can get 3 INF 1 ATR from south africa and possibly(depends J1/J2) from australia to egypt making it very hard for IT2 taking Egypt). IT1 prepare egypt…
      US1 went pacific + assiting UK bombing europe.

      G2/ R2 small battles. J2 played risk( to compensate kareilia, ger looked aweful: 6 FTR at US fleet. BOOM. lost 2 , sunk all ( total 57 ipc vs 20). US now europe only. IT2 take egypt.
      Bombing in Germany was painful. bought 2 factories in bulgaria and czech and build airforce there. russia tried to protect all 3 factories actively, inviting Germany to take Karelia / Caucasus but his army being killed himself in return, leaving germany too weak to cope UK/US attack same round. but italy was able to take caucasus before with naval assault/bombardement, spoiling allied plan. Germany was  able to attack moscow with all might. 6 tanks took it in the end.  with caucasus to the italians, the rest of the russian army up north in the baltic /east poland and germany/italy well enough defended

      Observations/Recommendations:  allied have little room for correcting errors. ship movement must be optimal. else they loose precious time defendig  africa, shipping troops  north europe keeping japan fleet in pacific and off india. UK india IC round 1 imho is a must. no ic here and japan just rolls and rolls. maybe even another ic in egypt, round2.

      I have aquestion concerning Bombing Raids. In the Rules it says:

      Phase 2: Purchase units

      1.Order units
      2.Pay for units and repairs
      3. Mobilization Zone
      Does this mean if Germany is bombed to -12 by American Bombers he isnt allowed to place any units his turn, even if he pays 12 IPC? Or can he pay 6 IPC and buy e.g 4 Tanks that round.

      Because in one game i wasnt able to build any units in germany and was forced to build factories ind Bulgary / Czech , which almost cost me the game …
