Ah thank you, I’ve read the rules errata thread, and it wasn’t well mentioned, but it was clarified in the FAQ and Errata of wizards.com.

the rulebook just says that china gets 1 infantry for every 2 territories that aren’t under Axis control, including any it has re-captured. so if China captures Manchuria in its turn, and already has 7 territories, does it get the extra infantry that very turn?
No. Chinese infantry are awarded during the Purchase Units phase, so only territories controlled at the beginning of the turn count.
Are you really sure about that Krieg or have you mistyped ? If China has 3 territories and captures another (thus making 4) in its turn, I thought he would get 2 inf to place…

Chinese Reinforcements !
Hi guys !
I’d like to have a clarification on the chinese reinforcements. In the rulebook it says that you cant place them in a territory with 3 or more Inf in it. But for example if you have 2 Inf to place, can you place them in a territory with 2 Inf present, thus making 4 Inf ??
In the games I played, I would only place 1 Inf there and place the other Inf on another territory. But I’ve seen in a PBF game (Jenn vs A44 :-D) someone place 3 Inf in a territory with 2 Inf already there.

Not really… It depends on the move made by each unit.
A ground/naval unit which have moved in the CM cannot move in the NCM. An aircraft can move for the reminder of his movement points (4 for Ftr and 6 for Bmb).
But no, there is no limit, every unit who hasn’t moved in the CM can move in the NCM.

As for Fighters/Bombers, that’s pretty easy too. Roll for the fighters, then roll for the bombers. If Germany attacks Russia with 7 Fighters, 2 Bombers, then Russia kills 1 fighter for sure, and rolls a single AA shot @ 1 for the remaining fighter, then rolls a single AA shot @ 2 to see if a bomber is hit.
Since in Revised, AA Guns are targeting fighters in one group and bombers in another.
Gosh I’ve just realised that in the LHTR (not in OOB) you target Ftr and Bmb separatly… Good to know, but I don’t know if its a good idea to use it like that in LL. Personnally I’ve never used it like that, I’d have rolled a shot @ 3 plus the sure hit.

Omaha Beachhead
Omaha beachhead is divided in 2 boxes (1st one 4 inf, and 2nd 2 inf 2 art i think) and the red arrows of the bolckhouses are pointing only on the first boxe (4 inf). So, does it means that no art can be destroyed by the blockhouse on Ger Turn 1 ??

Air vs Navy Question
Hi
My question is : If 2 subs and 1 AC are in a SZ, and i attack them with 1 Ftr and 1 Bmb and get 1 hit. Can the subs be taken as casualties, or it must be the AC ? Since there is no DD attacking, it is like if there was only an AC in the SZ, right?
Its a bit confusing, id like to know the exact rule :-D

I agree with your 12 IPC Bid (I did it once and it worked well) but not your build. Id rather build 1 Trn 1 DD + land units and put the navy in the Baltic along with the 2 other Trns. 3 Trn 1DD is big enuf to prevent a russian aerial attack (it will be out of range of UK ftrs if u control Leningrad). But even with 4 Trn u wont threaten London that much, with 4-6 inf 1 arm 1 art 2 bmb 3 ftrs + anything UK bought on UK1. So i think its useless. Personnaly I did the Trn + Art bid but only bought 1 DD, so it was enuf to protect my Trns, and it could transport a lot of troops in finland/Len.

Well, I think the game is not perfectly balanced, and thats ok like that. To be perfectly balanced, it should be 3 players against 3 players with the same income and the same starting troops… Lets play Risk then ! If ur playing AA, its because you like different theaters, different games, and different strategies. You cannot play Ger like you play US, but you can play Blue troops like Red troops (Risk). So in fact, the game is lot more balanced than AA3ed, but cant be perfectly balanced, as explained above. And its fine like that.
Its sure that if the players always do the same strategies, and the dices are barely the same, no games will be different, like if u play with the same players controlling the same countries (im not saying u doing this).
GreekGeneral, i dont understand y u [always, often, sometimes, almost never…] try to invade UK on Ger 1st round. If the winner of the game is decided on Ger1, whats the fun to play? Lets play dices then, or any games that u can win with a single die or luck (roulette russe … russian roll? dunno… Or “who draws the higher card in the deck !”). Seriously i hope that u arent doing that often, but im not here to tell u how to play.
So, the game is fine, its really fun, so enjoy it and try different strats !!!

No, the first time i used this strat the naval and the manch combats went well, but not the 2 europeans. On the germanys turn he took karelia. Russia was open. Its a strat that gives more chances to germany to win if it goes not the way u wanted.

Im not an inexperienced player. Its just a strategy, im not using it at every games. Seriously i tried it once and i wont 2/4 combats. There is a lot of other safer strat, but its fun to try something new.

Agressive Russian Strategy
This strategy is based on an agressive russian strike against both Axis powers. It is a VERY risky tactic, it can be devastating, or it can open Moscow’s doors to the Wehrmacht. It consist in 4 combats on your first turn.
Purchase Units :
8 infantry (24 IPCs)Combat moves :
Attack Manchuria with 5 inf and 1 tank
Attack Finland-Norway with 2 inf (Kar), 2 tanks (Kar or Rus), 1 fighter
Attack Ukraine with 6 inf (Cauc and Kar), 1 tank (Kar or Rus), 1 fighter
Attack Baltic Fleet with 1 sub and 1 transpI’ll be honest, you need a LOT of luck to win these 4 combats.
In the naval combat in Baltic, ur goal is to destroy the transport. As soon as u have done this u can retreat in UK sea zone and serve as cannon fodder. For the tank, id suggest to take 1 tank from russia and 1 from kar to attack Finland, as ull be able to come back to Karelia with one of the tanks, most likely the last survivor of the fight. The other tank in Ukraine will most likely be the last surviving land unit in Ukraine and he wont have enough move to come back to Karelia, but his job now is to prevent german tanks from blitzing to Caucassus.
Lets take a look at the PERFECT case : On the west, u have take 2 german territories, and u have killed : 6 infantry, 3 tanks, 2 fighters, a transport, and a sub (70 IPCs). This considerably reduces german power. Without these troops (and -2 inf from Berlin @ transport), Karelia is safe. On the East, u have killed 3 inf and a fighter (21 IPCs).
Non-Combat moves :
2 Fighters land on Karelia
1 tank from Finland-Norway go back to Karelia (assuming that u have destroyed the German transport, so he cant take Finland back)
4 Inf from russia go to Karelia (maybe ull want to send 1-2 Inf to caucassus, anticipating an amphibious assault from Black Sea, depending on how the combats in Ukraine and F-N ended)
2 Inf from the east territory to Yakut (not sure of the name) or Russia, depending of ur needs and the combat results
U can withdraw ur tank from manchuria to soviet far east, to protect the coast, or to Yakut (a safer choice), or simply stay to Manch.Place new Units :
8 Inf in kareliaSo now there should be around 12 Inf, 1 tank and 2 fighters on Karelia, a too big army for the Wehrmacht (assuming that u won/retreated-from ur combats). The German will simply retake Ukraine and maybe Caucassus by the Black sea (assuming that he isnt taking the Med transport to A: destroying UK battleship with his battleship + transport or B: bringing more troops to invade Africa). Assuming that ur army is too big for a german attack, theres big chances that he’ll completly destroy UK fleet around Europe and canada instead of attacking u.
Eventually, ull need help from UK and USA, like an attack/IC-to-india to take a bit of Japanese’s attention off Russia. Finland-Norway is a good target because ull most likely keep it for the whole game (except if he manage to take Karelia), cause German wont buy a transport in the Baltic (or if he does UK or u will easily destroy it).
Collect Income:
32 IPCs !!! U now have German Income ! If ur 3 land combats went well, U money ready to be used ahave a big bag of gainst the Wehrmacht !I know this strategy is REALLY risky, and maybe it can give the victory to the Axis in the first few turns, but if u manage to win 3-4 of ur combats on ur first turn, German will be in deep shit. Maybe this strat will work half, 1/4 or 1/10 of the times, but it seriously worth the try.
