      Big pieces should already be in there… you just need to set Abattlemap to Big peices by click on “View” and select Big peices and then reopen the map.

      Another thing I just learned to use is the Ctrl and Shift keys with abattlemap, you can move stacks of 10 by holding the ctrl key and stacks of 5 with the shift.

      Also try hitting the -/+ on the keypad for zoom in and out… really nice to zoom out when lots of units in an area that are over lapping.

      Cool thanks ! I had tried setting the Big Pieces on but I didn’t reload the map, so. A few years ago, I think you had to download a certain file to enable de Big Pieces, right ? I kinda like the little pieces, tho :)

      As for the -/+, I’m on a laptop, so I don’t have a keypad, and the -/+ between 0 and backspace dont seem to work.

      I already knew about the Shift and Ctrl, sooooo handy :)

      Indeed, you only need to protect SZ12, but no need for long range aircrafts, normal fighters in Weu can reach it, if it was what you were referring to (Long Range Aircrafts Tech)

      I usually build troops in E. US. But that’s just me…

      Salut à tous, j’ai bien l’impression que je vais trouver du monde aussi accro que moi ici ! Moi aussi je réside Montréal, possède toutes les versions sauf Guadalcanal, et aimerais bien trouver des opponents aguérris ! Je commence à initier une couple de chums ici mais ça serait le fun de se mesurer à des vétérans une fois de temps en temps. Des 3v3, 3v2 ou 1v1, pas de problème. J’ai 24 ans et vient de finir mon bac en ingénierie, si ça vous intéresse d’en savoir un peu plus sur moi…

      Because you can load and unload troops from ECan to Alg every turn with only a transport (only 1 sea zone away), compared to EUS where it is 2 sea zones away, needing 2 transports to unload troops every turn. For example, a transport already at SZ12 (next to Algeria) can go to Eastern Canada SZ (dont remember the number), load troops from Canada, and go back to SZ12 to unload them to Algeria. From US, you can’t, its farther.

    • AA42 LowLuck game !!

      Hey guys,

      After a 2-3 years pause, I’m up for another game ! I’d like to play AA42 LowLuck (or not, but I’d prefer LL). I only have the OOB rules at the moment, so I don’t know if there are any official Techs or NAs. If you have something to propose, feel free to do so ! Same goes for a bid. Is a bid needed in AA42 ?

      For LL, I remember there are a few specific rules, for the strategic bombing for example. Like you had to pay 2 IPCs to do a SBR (3 or 4 IPCs damage) if there is an AAgun in the territory. Feel free to refresh my memory on this !

      I cant seem to be able to change the order of loss for the defender in a naval battle. Even tho the order says sink AC first, he keeps sinking Cruisers…

      No, I had a couple of times when I wanted 6 attacking fighters in a naval battle but only 1 carrier (or similar) and it kept dropping the fighters out.

      **As for defense, there are circumstances where you would have more fighters than legally able to land on carriers present.  That’s if you took carrier casualties and the battle persisted.

      ie:  I attack and kill 2 carriers out of 4.  You had 8 fighters.  Perhaps I want to know if my chances improved or decreased from this point?**

      As for the memory leak, dunno.  I just know that if I let the program sit for an extended period (say 30ish minutes to an hour give or take) then the performance of the entire system seems significantly slower.  Not “slow” but slower.

      Good point, we should be allowed to put any number of Ftrs.

      Hey guys,

      I’d like to know if someone has (or is working on) a suitable combat simulator for AA50 ? For most combats, AASim or something like that can work, but for the naval battles, it doesnt work. Its the Sub vs Air that pose problem.

      Anyway, I’m sure you guys already know that…

      So, anyone ? I guess it shouldnt be that hard to change the DD to 2/2 and stuff like that…

      Hey guys, I’d also be interested to play a '41 game (NOs + Techs) with LowLuck. I think it would be great, and even easier to roll with the forum dicey (well, it’d take less time to type the battles  :lol:).

      The usual rules would apply… Roll subs separatly with surprise attack or with the other units but with no surprise attack… SBR do 3 or 4 dmg… etc

      Ahh I just realised I misread the rulebook. Its why I wasnt sure… Its clearly stated in the rulebook (every 2 territory not under axis control during the “purchase units phase”… at first I read “mobilize unit phase”… my bad).

      So, thx for the clarification, I just dont understand why after reading that part 3 or 4 times I’d still read “mobilize new units”…
