I attacked your Atlantic Navy with my airforce… it was going to be a 65% chance of destroying it.  Bad dice rolls the first round!  Germany is now toast; I resign.  Great play.  This is the first time that I have been defeated by a KGF strategy.  A few mistakes on my side plus brilliant play on your side.  Congrats.

Good game.  Japan was going to make a run for victory, grabbing Hawaii this round and attempt an India invasion the following round.  They got too far out of control with money.  You have to aggressively retake islands to cut down on their money supply or else they will inevitably win.  It is so tough of a balance between the Atlantic and the Pacific.  I usually am too focused on kill-Japan-first and lose it in Europe.  I still rank in the bottom quartile of league players.  Hopefully I will improve.

Yup, I could have recovered if things weren’t going so poorly for Japan…

I am still trying to master Allies myself.  The strategy is much more difficult.  I tend to spend too much or too little in the Pacific to start the game and either fail in Europe or get crushed by Japan.  Finding a way to contain Germany is quite tough.  Once they get Egypt, life is miserable for the Allies.

I made some big mistakes with Japan, trying an attack on Russia instead of my standard play.  Your move into Norway was brilliant, combined with the pressure of the Allied fleet.  I thought it was going to be a fiasco for you, but it turned out to be a crusher for Germany.  Well played on both sides of the board.

Let’s plan on a rematch in September, switching sides with the same +18 for Allies.

I often play to an economic victory as the Axis so I have a bunch of games that end this way  :?.  That DOW on Japan was a game changer and cost the Allies the Pacific.  I thought you had me after turn 1 when everything went so wrong in the Med. and Africa.  Earning a single PU as Italy was painful.

I thought that I properly had set up the game, but something weird happened.  Here is the save file after G1.  It is essentially the same moves as I normally do, with the change of taking Southern France. Let me know if you can use it or if I need to redo G1.

I’ve set both topic and game-ID on 35693, but you got to check if yours is this number as well.

Are you sure you don’t want to move some AAguns into Holland as well?
The French will gladly die attacking Holland for a chance to get 1 of the planes based there, but I’m sure they won’t bother with a couple of AA-guns as ‘meat-shield’. Same for the UK tranny in #109, so I’d edit at least 2 AAguns into Holland if I were you. But ofc you are free to ignore my ravings ;-).
