The India NO of +3 that is easy to hold is also quite significant. +9 instead of +6 per turn

I’ve never done high bid OOB, where like a fighter to India and infantry in a couple territories around there would seem to basically make up for this NO

But like you said “old days” when everyone did small bids like 10-20, India was a house of cards and Russia had a pretty bad time, yes.

Thanks for agreeing to play with me. That was a fun match and you caught me surprised by the attack in SZ6 as you previously had been so conservative in your attacks. I knew it was possible, and likely the best options, but didn’t expect it.

That J1 is the standard Cow playbook with all of the updated modifications that I could find including the sneak attack on the Anzac destroyer/transport that was so lucky in the dice. I wish that I could have taken credit for mastering it on my own, but I just read the script.

Agreed that Midway is not optimal for the Allied fleet. Going down to Carolines or Queensland would have been far more problematic for Japan. My major mistake was on G1 moving the German infantry to the wrong spot, making me delayed a full round in my push to Egypt.

Your skill level must be improving quickly. The Allied opening was strong and you will be great when your mid-game strategy gets to the next level. Figuring out how to get a toehold in W Europe and the Pacific Islands is key to cracking the Axis money machine.

Thanks for playing me , this was way more fun and competitive then playing against the computer.

Some things I probably won’t do in the future… move fleet into Japan’s waters. this probably set me back a couple of turns…
Britain submarine strategy works against a computer not against a human with a yugoslav airbase…
I usaully play pretty conservatively so i obviously will stop yoloing around so much. Probably 5-10 of those . first five went welll last five sunk my chances of a longer game…
Purchasing probably needs to be more discplined and methodical. more logistics work the allies… more chuck chuck more balanced on both sides of the board.
Reasonably happy with my bid strategy…
Allies need to be able to win a scramble battle in the atlantic… and hold the center…
and not get lost in the pacific.
Need to be dangerous on all three sides of the board East west and Center.

All right, good game! I think you are right that this game most likely is lost for the axis. You didn’t have the best dice all the time including this final Italy round and with the error regarding the german blocker russian sub it is death to Germany to fight an early western beach head so you were unlucky there.

With that said, I still think you surrendered game no 1 too early

Good game. Yeah, I am awful at forcing a finish, especially in the Pacific with that fighter shuttle between Australia and Hawaii. I was planning on taking South America and bringing the IPN around to help conquer Africa. I am much more into economic wins than outright victory, but should work on that aspect of the game.

I learned so much in this match, but my rust is still considerable with constant mistakes that you exploited well. Thank you for the opportunity.

good game! yah you did abandon it for really no good reason. you just didn’t gain much from the long venture over to Africa.
