I see some merits of a strong Russia but so far I thought an bids are placed best where having an immediate impact or a significant strategic impact in future stages (e.g. Inf New Guinea)

Generals always prepare to fight to last war.

I believe I chose this bid after facing a G1 Barbarossa and I wanted to have men ready to counterattack Eastern Poland if I faced the same situation.

Since I won that game and lost this one, I won’t defend my bid  :lol:

It’s good - looking forward to a little more time on my hand that I get to waste on my hobby ;)

actually, i’m going to just concede this game…  there is not going to be any time between now and november 1 for me to put in the kind of time necessary to do this game justice.  i had a plan but it required the use of the russian AB this turn.  can’t get back to the drawing board now because it’s going to be nonstop tournament from now until november and i don’t want this one to go over to next year - next year’s league games will be a clean slate for me.

nice game alex.  look forward to playing you next year!  pretty much the game came down to that big russian failed attack - very hard to recover and when i did, it gave japan a lot of room to run.

Haha. It is passing already. It is just so frustrating to lose big because of it. This was such an interesting game.
I was blocking US from entering Gib in Combat, and Italy was ready to make some crazy stuff in a second and third wave against UK. Germany would take over Africa… BLAH All of my grand plans.

We’ll get our playoff. But it will have to be a little later. I want to finish all the other games now, and be finished with them, so that I can concentrate on beating you. And I can assure you, vengeance will be sweet! ;)

careful there arathorn.  i beat karl the first game too, then suffered 3 straight defeats at the hands of his devil dice.

I congratulate you as beeing the only player exept Noll who have beat me in Global A3, your quite leathal as Axis.

I will now take at least a month break, but the I shall return a rematch and I will not make the same critical mistakes again. Now I feel I have compleated my grand strategy as Allies and thanks to you I know what mistakes to watch out for in the future.
