That sounds really good. It should be interesting to see what Italy has for starting power and to see if they give the Allies a little more starting military might to compete with the Axis.

I agree. That’s corporate America for you. They don’t care about the little guy.

Nothing about the Japanese Empire so far. I have played through the first three levels and have not seen anything about the Eastern Axis power.

RE: Turning Point: Fall of Libertyposted in Other Games
I picked up Turning Point a few hours ago and have played through the first two missions. The campaign story and game play is pretty good, not as good as COD4, but still worth checking out. However, the online multiplayer is very poor and very frustrating to get into. It seems to be very glitchy, as the characters reactions are somewhat slow and the amount of damage weapons do is extremely unbalanced. I’ll probably finish out the campaign mode and trade it in, unless they release a patch for it.

That is too bad that Hasbro won’t release pieces for order, such as the BOTB tank. From what I have seen on their site, it appears that all they have are individual contry’s starting strength boards and the like. However, they probably never will as they probably don’t see enough profit in the endeavor.

My misunderstanding then I.L. The way your first post was written made it seem like the treasure find was a promotion of the new Indy flick, put on by the studios and not a legitimate find.

Thanks. They have had some off the topic news articles and not your typical day to day news. Oh well, still fun.

I’m not that old, just 25, perhaps I just like some of the ideals that the US used to hold true to. Also, I don’t think new music is the devil, unless it’s country music. That’s just plain evil. I just feel that people blame everyone else for their shortfalls and then pop a pill to make themselves feel better. No one takes the time to properly deal with anything in their life, most people are just way too lazy.

Cool. I will just have to pick up some extra UK pieces. Do you know if the A&AE map with Italy and it’s holdings, as in the previous post links, can be found? Or have you just improvised your existing A&AE map? Thanks for the help.

RE: Turning Point: Fall of Libertyposted in Other Games
I played the demo on Xbox live and it was pretty good. From the demo, it looks like a pretty straight forward FPS. However, it has stunning visuals and the idea of the game, besides all of the Nazi swastika’s flying around, will be sure to make a few people mad. I’m picking it up today after work and will post later after having played a few levels.

You could always try a community college, unless that’s what junior college is, I’ve never heard it refered to as that. Community colleges are very affordable and you can get your core classes out of the way, while working and saving up a bit of money. Just a thought.

That is a very good post. It rings so true in our society today and it is very sad that most of America is like the people described in the reading.

Perhaps the pieces will be available for order in the future. When you have tank divisions spread on the board, the BOTB tanks look a lot better then their predecessors.

Here is the article from CNN.com with the whole story:
http://www.cnn.com/2008/TECH/science/02/26/nazi.gold/index.html?iref=newssearch
CNN wouldn’t report news for a movie, as they are not an entertainment site. Also, the new Indy movie has Russians in it, there are no Nazi’s.

RE: Nazi gold found!posted in World War II History
No way, it can’t be. There was a news clip from a CNN reporter who interviewed the lead investigator. I’ve seen the news correspondent on other CNN articles at CNN’s website. If it is just a hoax, then it seems pretty elaborate.

Nazi gold found!posted in World War II History
Hey all,
I found this article on Yahoo news this morning and thought you would be interested in checking it out.http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080226/ap_on_re_eu/germany_nazi_gold
The treasure hunter for the project found a notebook from his deceased father’s belonings, giving coordinates to the location. His father was a Luftwaffe radio operator during the war and supposedly helped move gold and other valuables to the location.
Enjoy.

When will more pictures of the expanded board be available? I’m really curious to see more shots of the other theaters of war.

Can you pay with PayPal, or is it just through a credit card? Also, is it through the Club Denmark site? Or is it through a company that is making the mats and people order directly from them? Thanks.

That’s pretty crazy. I’m guessing that they never submerged, or the world would have been out an action packed, archaeologist. Do you know if that clip can be found online? I haven’t seen it in the Indiana Jones DVD box set.
