I’m not saying that you are not a competent player. I was just writing from my own experiences with A&AE. I do know where you are coming from as far as the Germans. If you are agressive in the beginning, they you should be able to keep up a succesful offensive against Russia. I was just pointing out that If there is at east one good Allied player, who effectively coordinates their resources, that Germany can have a hard time dealing with all three Allies. I personally prefer playing as Germany, as it is much more challenging and more rewarding in the end.

If their is one player for each Allied nation and they coordinate an effective offensive, I think Germany would be hard pressed to win the game. Obviously Germany has to be very aggressive in the early game, or they will be worn quickly away and I have seen one player do this. However, if the Allies quickly respond to Russia’s need with fighters, transporting troops, while France & Africa are getting attacked, then Germany will have to rethink ther strategy on all fronts. Basically, as long as the Allied players form a strong network to oppose Germany and act together quickly, Germany will be reeling from their combined might.

Or mideast oil.

The game board came out great, nice job Club Denmark. Now I just want to see the board for the Axis & Allies anniversary edition. Hopefully the anniversary board will have comparable detailing & imagery.

That would be pretty sweet if Germany would start first. As they will not be dealing with the Meditteranian & Africa scenes yet, as it is primarily Italy’s show. They would be better able to concentrate on squaring off with the Soviet Union and keeping up their U-boat tactics to hinder the Allies. Hopefully Itally will have enough of a military buildup to actually assist Germany and not draw rescources and troops away that are needed for the Soviet front and the Atlantic wall.

Now is definitely the time to sell D&D memorbillia, especially with the release of D&D 4th edition upcoming. This is a big year in the D&D community.

You’re kidding, right? That would be great to get a shirt for joining the forum. I don’t recall seeing any info on a shirt when joining up. Perhaps I just missed it.

If wonder if his new deity status will give him the option of whacking people with his +1 mace.

Has anyone bought an Axis & Allies T-shirt advertised on the home page from Zazzle? I was curious if they are a good quality shirt and to see how many people have purchased them. Just looking for an overall opinion on the shirts. Thanks in advance.

I know that the anniversary edition board will be the biggest yet. But I am curious to see what new territories they added and to actually see what Italy has for holdings and military buildup at the beggining of the game. The box will probably be just as big as the MB edition. Perhaps they will change the look/artwork of the battleboard, national production chart, etc…

If they get rid of the Junkers Stuka for the German forces, perhaps the Messerschmitt BF-109 will replace it. That would be a cool addition.

It’s too bad, he will be missed. But he helped to create an industry that is growing daily. Pretty sweet.

The cover is a lot of fun and covers quite an extensive array of people. However, I agree with Dagon81 and that it looks out of place with all of the current box covers for A&A. It does harken back to the MB edition and maybe they are trying to capture some anniversary nostalgia.

That’s pretty damn wild. I can’t wait to check it out.

Do you remember the name of the book or one of the author(s)? I would love to read it. Alternate history books are usually pretty entertaining.
