Yes, you are right, it’s genitive. But “Wehrmacht” is -female-: die Wehrmacht. As for this, the genitive “der” is always used  :-)

If you liked “Das Boot” you should really watch “Die Brücke” (h t t p://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Die_Br%C3%BCcke_(film)). Critics say, that it’s one of the hardest, most bitter anti-war films ever shown in cinemas.

A german war movie which is even more famous than “Das Boot” here in Germany. It is well known for it’s realistic representations.
The film won its director Wicki international attention, which resulted in his participation in co-directing the movie The Longest Day.
“Die Brücke” is one of the most decorated German films of the postwar period. It shows with an impressive dramatic and highly emotional images, as youth growing up with a misguided idealism in Nazi-Deutschland, and brought up to a hero’s delusion, that it consistently leads in the politically abused “death for the Vaterland”.

1. So, Subs can be ignored by Transports when NOT making an amphibious assault?

2. Can Transports ignore subs, when the subs are “in the way” to an amphibious assault (for example 1 Seazone away from the coastal zone).

3. A Transport and a Destroyer may ignore the sub for an amphibious assault?

4. Same as (3) but with  a Cruiser / Battleship / Submarine instead of the Destroyer?

So from what I gather, there are many factors (number of players, player skill level, tabletop or online, which player is winning or losing, how often you play ect……) that will determine if it’s going to be a gentelman’s game or a scoundrel’s war.

Totally agree to that. Nice Thread!

But winning a game just because of one terrible fault of your opponent wouldn’t be very nice and satisfying. Giving hints is part of a fair game for Gentlemen (and Ladies @Jenn), at least in my group…

Just to clarify:

A seazone X contains an island Y. Moving an airplane from seazone X onto island Y costs one point of movement, right?

Another one, we are not fully sure where AA-Guns can be built (Alpha +2):

Can AA-Guns be build in any Territory under my control since the beginning of my turn, even without a factory being there?

Is this correct?

• a transport my load AND unload in friendly territory during NCM.

• no further movement of these deployed units is allowed from there this turn (tanks / mech. inf.)

• a transport my load AND unload in hostile territory during CM (amphibious assault).

• no blitzing from there.

I’m just not fully sure about that.

Does it need to be under UK-Control for one full ROUND to give ANZAC the Movement-Advantage?

Can ANZAC, for example, use an UK-Airbase built on English Territory in it’s turn?

Am I right?

You are NOT allowed to build units in an IC built this round.

Haven’t found anything in the Rulebook.

I’m Andi from Bavaria and new to A&A and this Board. Most of my Newbie-Questions could be answered by reading this great FAQ. Thank you so far!

By now, I have one more question:

Let’s say, I’m with Japan at war with Russia, but not yet with UK/ANZAC. Now I’m attacking a hostile SZ containing a Russian Ship and a UK Vessel with my i.e. Battleship. How is combat done? May I attack? Is the UK vessel involved in combat somehow?
